Abstract

The present invention relates to a new formulation for dying human hair characterised in that it comprises from 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one colourant in an aqueous solution, said aqueous solution containing neither hydrogen peroxide nor ammonia in the composition thereof. Furthermore an object of this invention is a hair dye characterised in that it comprises the foregoing formulation, and moreover a device particularly suitable for application of dye to the hair.

Description

New formulation for hair dye, hair dye and application device

Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to the field of cosmetics, more specifically, to hair cosmetics, being directed to a new formulation for hair dye, as well as to a dye characterized by understanding said formulation and a device specially designed for application of it on the hair.

State of the art prior to the invention

Hair cosmetics and, in particular, the field of hair dyeing, has undergone a great evolution in recent years. Since the introduction at the beginning of the last century of liquid dyes, in aqueous solution, there has been a continuous development in this type of products in order to offer more innovative, higher quality and protective dyes for both hair and the environment.

From a technological point of view, hair dyes or hair dyes are preparations intended to color the hair, either to change its hue, or to restore color to gray hair. The distribution of the dye on the hair fiber, as well as the duration, coverage properties and the application technique are factors that decide the quality of the final product.

Among the most commonly used hair dyes, oxidation dyes are worth mentioning due to their aesthetic quality and persistence. These types of dyes use one or more oxidative agents in combination with one or more oxidizing agents. While these dyes have been widely used in In recent years, they have, however, certain drawbacks. In particular, the use of hydrogen peroxide as the most common oxidizing agent, can cause solubilization of the melanin of the keratin fibers, consequently damaging the hair structure.

In order to solve the above drawbacks, various modifications have been made in the usual formulation of the dyes, aimed, among other aspects, to prolong the duration of the hair dye. In this regard, in WO97 / 44002, for example, a new composition is presented which comprises the use of sodium bicarbonate, thereby achieving greater resistance to hair washing.

Likewise, new formulas for the application of the dye have also been developed, for example, in WO95 / 20941, where a new type of dye characterized by being presented in solid form is described.

It is, therefore, a first object of the present invention to present a new formulation for hair dye, being one of its particular applications dyeing the hair with an appreciable or significant amount of gray hair to resemble the hair with its natural color.

A further object of this invention is directed to the process of obtaining said hair dye formulation.

Likewise, a dye characterized by understanding this new formulation in its composition, as well as the use thereof for human hair dye, is the subject of the invention.

Finally, a device specially designed for the application of the hair dye is a further object of the invention. While numerous devices designed for this purpose are known, most They have drawbacks regarding the distribution of the dye and its application in a clean way on the hair. It is, therefore, a further object of the present invention to present a new device to achieve the application of the dye on the hair in a simple and effective manner.

Description of the invention

The present invention relates to a new formulation for human hair dye, characterized in that it comprises from 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one dye in an aqueous solution, wherein said aqueous solution contains neither hydrogen peroxide nor ammonia. in its composition.

The dye or dyes used in the formulation are preferably non-oxidative and, more preferably, semi-permanent. These types of dyes are composed of dyes that are not altered during application, and whose molecules are of adequate size to penetrate the hair sufficiently to reach the outer part of the capillary cortex. In this way, these dyes are able to remain in the hair after several washes, being eliminated progressively. Although their permanence on the hair depends on the number of applications and the way in which they are carried out, in general, they are able to remain in the hair for 6 to 15 or 20 washes.

Specifically, the dye or colorants used are preferably selected from a group consisting of HC Yellow 4 (CAS Registry 59820-43-8), HC Blue 2 (CAS 33229-34-4), Disperse Violet 1 (CAS 000128 -95-0)), Disperse Black 9 (CAS 12222-69-4) and HC Red 3 (CAS 2871-01-4), or any combination of the above. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the percentage of This type of compounds is between 0.1 and 6% by weight of the formulation. Also, preferably, the invention may in turn comprise a combination of the above dyes, where each dye is comprised between 0.05 and 10% by weight, and more preferably between 0.1 and 5% by weight of the formulation.

In turn, preferably, the percentage of water in the formulation is between 50 and 99.5% by weight thereof.

Additionally, the formulation may comprise at least one alcohol, which may preferably consist of glycol. Said alcohol is preferably comprised in a weight percentage of 1 to 60%, more preferably, 1 to 45%. Thanks to the presence of alcohol, a better solubility of the dyes is achieved, as well as a better compatibility thereof with the other components of the formulation.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, this solution may comprise, instead of alcohol or additionally to it, a derivative thereof, preferably an ether, more preferably, a glycol ether and even more preferably, ethoxyglycol.

Likewise, a dye characterized by comprising the formulation described above, which is especially suitable for human hair dye, is the subject of the present invention. In order that said dye possesses an appropriate viscosity for a comfortable application thereof and, in turn, remains in the hair once applied for as long as possible, as well as in the dye container itself in case said container be inverted, in a preferred embodiment of the invention the formulation may additionally comprise a non-viscosifying ionic or anionic, preferably of the acrylic copolymer family, in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 10% by total formulation weight.

In an especially preferred embodiment of the invention, this acrylic copolymer can be selected from a group consisting of acrylate copolymer, methacrylate copolymer, preferably stearyl-20 / acrylate or Carbomer methacrylate copolymer. The amount of this type of compound used is that necessary to reach a viscosity between 200 and 200,000 cPs (at 20 ⁰ C), preferably between 5,000 and 30,000 cPs (at 20 ⁰ C), which can be adjusted according to the method of application or type of applicator used.

On the other hand, and because the pH of the dye has to be between 6.5 and 10, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the formulation may further comprise at least one amine, preferably monoethanolamine and / or triethanolamine. Preferably, the percentage of amines in the formulation is between 0.1 and 3% by weight of the formulation. It can also comprise at least one amide derived from alkyl chains of 8 to 22 carbon atoms, preferably, in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 10% by weight of the formulation.

Finally, an especially preferred embodiment of the formulation may also comprise at least one fragrance.

This formulation has the advantage, compared to other similar products, of not understanding ammonia or hydrogen peroxide in its composition, allowing its daily use and achieving a noticeable change in the tonality of the hair after a few applications. Once used, a new application every two or three washes is sufficient to maintain the desired tone for a long period of weather. Also, if the user wishes, it is possible to recover the usual hair tone in just a few weeks after successive washing without application.

Finally, this formulation has the advantage of being compatible with the usual shampoos, as well as not damaging the hair through daily use, getting a soft, shiny hair with the tonality desired by the user.

The fact of not understanding oxidizing agents in its composition, together with the rest of its properties and characteristics such as the value of its pH, favor the absence or decrease of the irritating or allergic reactions. In addition, it has the advantage of producing a progressive change in the tonality of the hair, for those users who wish to avoid a sharp change in their physical appearance.

It is, in turn, a further object of the invention the process for obtaining the formulation for the hair dye described above. This method is characterized by comprising the following steps: a) preparation and heating an aqueous solution in the absence of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide at a temperature, preferably, between 40 and 70 ⁰ C, and more preferably 52 ° C; b) the addition of 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one dye, preferably selected from a group consisting of HC Yellow 4 (CAS Registry 59820-43-8), HC Blue 2 (CAS 33229-34-4 ), Disperse Violet 1 (CAS 000128-95-0)), Disperse Black 9 (CAS 12222-69-4) and HC Red 3 (CAS 2871-01-4) or any combination of the above; c) stirring the mixture obtained in the previous stage until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. The time required to carry out this stage is a function of energy communicated to the mixture, which in turn depends on the type of agitator used, as well as the amount of mixture present. Preferably, the agitator used is of the Cowles or rotor / stator type and acts preferably between 10 and 60 minutes; d) cooling the homogeneous preferably mixture to a temperature of about 40 ⁰ C; e) the addition of at least one amine, preferably 0.1 to 3% by weight and / or at least one amide, in a preferred percentage of 0.1 to 10% by weight; f) the addition of at least one thickening viscosity, preferably an acrylic copolymer, in a preferred percentage of 0.1 to 10% by weight.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, all of the alcohol, preferably glycol, and the rest of the polar solvents are added in step (a) of the process. However, in a further particular embodiment, part of the glycol is added during step (a), and the rest, in step (e).

Also, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the process may comprise an additional stage, subsequent to step (e), in which at least one preservative, and / or at least one fragrance is added.

In the same way, and in order to obtain a pH preferably between 8.5 and 9, it is possible to add at least one alkali, preferably, after step (e) of the process.

Finally, the process may additionally comprise a final step of regulating the pH of the formulation obtained.

It is also a further object of the invention a device specially adapted for the application of a hair dye characterized by comprising a formulation as previously described. Preferably, said device is characterized by comprising a body, preferably cylindrical, which in turn has in its upper part a plurality of sheets, as well as at least one hole for the exit of the dye contained therein.

Said device is characterized, in turn, by being made of plastic material, preferably in recyclable plastic material and, more preferably, in high density polyethylene.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sheet assembly is distributed forming concentric circuits around the hole or exit holes of the dye contained within the device. In this way, by the mere action of the user, it is possible to achieve a uniform distribution of the dye on the hair by direct contact with the impregnated sheets. However, said concentric distribution of the sheets is not an essential feature of the invention, and can be distributed in different shapes and configurations, both regularly and irregularly.

Also, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, said sheets are characterized by being flexible in nature, in order to achieve a better adaptation to the hair and, at the same time, achieve a more efficient distribution of the dye contained in the device.

In a particular embodiment of the device, the main body may in turn comprise a neck, preferably threaded, to which an opening or closing element of the device can be attached, as a cover, to prevent loss of the dye contained therein.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sheet assembly is part of an additional part of the device, which can be perfectly coupled to the neck of the main body of the device. In this way, once the dye contained inside has been consumed, it is possible to separate said piece in order to refill it, thus allowing its reuse. This feature is an additional advantage of the device, both economically and environmentally.

However, in particular, the device may in turn comprise a single piece, so that the sheet assembly is coupled in a manner integral with the body of the device.

Preferably, the volume of the device is adequate to contain enough dye for the total dyeing of a person's hair, thus avoiding having to refill the device during the dyeing process. In general, said volume may vary from 100 to 500 ml, preferably being 150 ml.

Thanks to this device it is possible to achieve a uniform distribution of the dye without the need to use other means or auxiliary devices, such as combs, to achieve a better distribution of the dye in the hair. It also allows you to carry out the application of the dye by the user in a simple and efficient way, without requiring any additional help.

On the other hand, thanks to the presence of the lamellae, it is possible to have access to all the hair, both from the root and to the ends, also avoiding contact with the hands during its application, as well as possible unwanted splashes to the medium.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

A preferred embodiment of the invention is presented below, by way of example and with a non-limiting nature, in order to achieve a better understanding thereof.

Thus, in order to obtain the formulation object of the invention, a solution of glycol and ethoxyglycol in water was prepared, which was heated to a temperature of about 52 ° C.

Subsequently, 3% by weight of a combination of dyes was added, which consisted of 0.2% of HC Yellow 4, 0.8% of HC Blue 2, 1.7% of Disperse Violet 1 and 0.3% of Disperse Black 9.

The obtained mixture was then added to a Cowles type agitator which was mixed for 30 minutes, after which time it was allowed to cool to a temperature of 40 ⁰ C.

Finally, the rest of the ingredients were added, which consisted of ethanolamine, MIPA oleamide and cocamide DEA, as well as acrylate copolymer and preservatives. The results obtained after application on the hair of the formulation obtained from the procedure described above were very favorable, obtaining a shade of light yellowish brown hair, able to remain in it for more than 10 washes. In addition, in no case were allergies or irritating effects detected.

To carry out the application of the dye on the hair a device was used as shown in the figures. Thus, the device used consisted of a cylindrical body (1), made of high density polyethylene, containing in its interior the dye for application in the hair. Said cylindrical body (1) had in its upper part a threaded neck to which a piece characterized by comprising a plurality of flexible sheets (2) with its ends topped in rounded heads, concentrically distributed around the central hole of dye output (3).

Also, the device comprised, in its upper part, a cover to prevent spillage of the liquid content inside the device.

Claims

1. Formulation for human hair dye, characterized in that it comprises from 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one dye in an aqueous solution, wherein said aqueous solution contains neither hydrogen peroxide nor ammonia in its composition.

2. Formulation according to claim 1, wherein the dye is non-oxidative.

3. Formulation according to claim 1, wherein the dye is semi-permanent.

4. Formulation according to claims 1 to 3, wherein the dye is selected from a group consisting of HC Yellow 4, HC Blue 2, Disperse Violet 1, Disperse Black 9 and HC Red 3 or any combination of the foregoing.

5. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it also comprises at least one alcohol.

6. Formulation according to claim 5, wherein the alcohol is glycol.

7. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the aqueous solution further comprises at least one alcohol ether.

8. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it also comprises at least one viscosifier.

9. Formulation according to claim 8, wherein the viscous is an acrylic copolymer.

10. Formulation according to claim 9, wherein the acrylic copolymer is selected from acrylate copolymer and methacrylate copolymer.

11. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it also comprises at least one amine.

12. Formulation according to claim 11, wherein the amine is selected from monoethanolamine and triethanolamine.

13. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises at least one amide derived from at least one alkyl chain of 8 to 22 carbon atoms.

14. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it also comprises at least one fragrance.

15. Formulation according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that its viscosity at 20 ⁰ C is between 200 and 200,000 cPs.

16. Formulation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that its pH is between 6.5 and 10.

17. Method for obtaining a hair dye formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 16, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: a) preparing and heating an aqueous solution in the absence of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide ; b) add from 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one dye; c) stir the obtained mixture until a homogeneous mixture is achieved; d) cooling said homogeneous mixture; e) add at least one amine and / or at least one amide; f) add at least one viscous.

18. Method according to claim 17, characterized in that it further comprises the addition of at least one alcohol, wherein said addition is carried out in step (a) of the process, or part thereof is carried out in the stage (a) and, the rest, in stage (e).

19. Method according to claim 17, characterized in that it comprises an additional stage, subsequent to step (e), wherein at least one preservative is added, and / or at least one fragrance.

20. Dye characterized in that it comprises the formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 16.

21. Use of the dye, according to claim 20, for human hair dye.

22. Device for the application on the hair of a dye according to claim 20, characterized in that it comprises a body that disposes in its upper part a plurality of sheets, as well as at least one hole for the exit of the dye.

23. Device according to claim 22, wherein the sheets are concentrically distributed around the hole for dye exit.

24. Device according to one of claims 22 or 23, wherein the sheets are flexible in nature.

25. Device according to any one of claims 22 to 24, wherein the sheets and the body of the device are forming a single piece.

26. Device, according to any one of claims 22 to 24, wherein the sheets are arranged in an additional piece attachable to the body of the device.

27. Device according to any one of claims 22 to 26, characterized in that it further comprises, in its upper part, a means for opening and closing the device.
