Abstract
In the present invention, optical lenses for correcting vision defects which can be individually adjusted and manufactured in a cost-effective way and a respective manufacturing method are disclosed. According to the invention, a thin layer of photopolymer is applied to a translucent substrate, wherein a diffractive structure adapted to the vision defect to be corrected can be formed in said thin layer of photopolymer by means of location-selective light exposure. Almost any imaging properties, which are required for varifocals, for example, can be achieved by means of a suitable design of the diffractive structure.
