Abstract

The invention relates to a valve assembly, in particular for an expansion valve, which is provided in a vehicle air-conditioning system operated with refrigerant, comprising a valve seat (37) and a valve closing element (39) which closes a passage opening (44) surrounded by the valve seat (37) between an inlet opening (14) and an outlet opening (16). The valve seat (37) has at least one throttling point (51), through which a predetermined mass flow passes from the inlet opening (14) to the outlet opening (16) when the valve closing element (39) is in a closed position (38). The throttling point (51) is formed by a helical depression (53), which is provided in at least some sections in a peripheral wall of the passage opening (44) and which extends at least partly along the passage opening (44) in the direction of and up to the valve seat (37) or into the valve seat, and in the opposite direction.
