Abstract

The present invention prevents unnecessary processing overhead to minimize performance lowering of a system due to changes in an MCS level. A data mapping method in a multi carrier communication system according to one feature of the present invention comprises the following steps of: dividing a modulated symbol sequence into at least one block; sequentially mapping each divided block from an LRU (Logical Resource Unit) corresponding to the lowest LRU index in an OFDMA data area of a carrier corresponding to the lowest logical carrier index in the first sub frame; and sequentially mapping each divided block from an LRU corresponding to the lowest LRU index in an OFMDA data area of a carrier corresponding to a logical carrier index that is usable after the carrier in the second sub frame different from the first sub frame if each divided block reaches to the boundary of the OFDMA data area.
