Abstract

A method for automatically controlling a travel mode of an electric vehicle according to the present invention is characterized in that a motor serving as a power source is controlled by a control unit having a plurality of travel modes performed by a plurality of controllers, and each of the travel modes is configured to enable the motor to have a maximum torque value at different RPMs, and the control unit performs at least a converting mode, which converts the travel mode of the motor in accordance with the variation of the RPM of the motor, or a power mode which enables the motor to rotate even when current is supplied to the motor in a discontinuous manner.
