Abstract

본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀 균등 충전 장치는 복수개의 배터리 셀들이 상호 직렬 연결되어 충전되는 배터리조의 각 배터리 셀들을 균등하게 충전하는 배터리 균등 충전 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로서, 스위칭 수단을 통해 각각 연결되거나 상기 배터리 셀 각각에 배치되는 상기 배터리 셀로부터 충전 전압을 입력받아 승압하는 DC/DC 컨버터, 상기 DC/DC 컨버터의 승압된 출력 전압을 저장하는 직류 저장 수단 및 상기 직류 저장 수단에 저장된 전력을 상기 배터리조로 공급하는 회수 통로 수단을 포함함으로써, 배터리 셀의 과충전으로 인하여 발생되는 잉여충전 전력을 회수할 수 있어 충전 효율이 높으며 직렬 연결된 각 셀들이 균등하게 충전됨으로써 과충전이나 과방전, 저충전 현상 등을 방지할 수 있어 충전 불균형으로 인하여 발생이 예상되는 배터리의 손상이나 폭발을 예방하고 배터리 시스템(조)의 수명을 연장할 수 있다.
