Abstract

총 M개의 송신 안테나 중 N개의 송신 안테나를 지원하는 제1 UE(User Equipment)와 상기 M(단, M>N)개의 송신 안테나를 지원하는 제2 UE를 지원하는 하향링크 MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) 시스템에 있어서, 참조 신호(Reference Signal; RS)를 전송하는 방법이 제공된다. 상기 방법은 기지국에서, 상기 제1 UE와 상기 제2 UE를 동시에 지원하는 서브프레임을 생성하는 단계; 상기 서브프레임을 전송하는 단계; 상기 서브프레임에서, 안테나 포트 0부터 N-1에 대한 공통 참조 신호(Common Reference Signal; CRS)가 사상(mapping)되고, 안테나 포트 N부터 M-1에 대한 CRS가 사상되며, 상기 안테나 포트 0부터 N-1에 대한 CRS의 전력 레벨(power level)과 상기 안테나 포트 N부터 M-1에 대한 CRS의 전력 레벨을 서로 독립적으로 제어된다.
