CAMISA INTERCAMBIABLE ULTRALIGERA DE ALTA RESISTENCIA PARA SOPORTE DE ELEMENTOS DE IMPRESIÓN O LAMINACIÓN SOMETIDOS A ALTAS HIGH RESISTANCE ULTRALIGERA INTERCHANGEABLE SHIRT FOR SUPPORT OF PRINT OR LAMINATION ELEMENTS SUBJECTED TO HIGH
PRESIONES DE TRABAJOWORK PRESSURES
Campo de Ia técnicaField of the technique
The present invention concerns a high-strength, ultra-light interchangeable jacket for supporting printing or lamination elements subjected to high working pressures, usable, for example, in offset printers or laminating bodies.
Antecedentes de Ia invenciónBackground of the invention
Shirts are known for printing or laminating cylinders made from a central tubular core on which a stratified structure of a polymeric material, such as polyurethane, is disposed. For the shirts to be operative, that is, for them to withstand high pressure loads on their outer surface, the polymer used is of high density. However, when the thickness of a jacket is considerable, for example because it has to cover a large outer diameter in relation to the diameter of the tubular core, a continuous stratified structure of high density polymer imposes a significantly high weight that forces carry out a manipulation of the jacket by more than one operator or by a controllable manipulator, making its use difficult.
Shirts for printing or lamination cylinders are also known in which the laminated structure, to relieve weight, comprises a continuous, optional inner layer of high density polymer in contact with the central tubular core, then a continuous intermediate layer of low density polymer, and finally a continuous outer layer of high density polymer. A problem with this jacket is that, when it is subjected to the usual high working pressures in offset printing and other types of printing or lamination, the intermediate layer of low density polymer has a risk of yielding, and when faced with significant pressure efforts The intermediate layer of low density is crushed and thus the cylindrical condition of the jacket is lost. In addition, the intermediate layer of low density is exposed at the ends of the jacket, and tends to expand at said ends due to contact with atmospheric agents, which may end up affecting the cylindrical surface regularity and the dimensional stability of the outer diameter of the shirt. US-A-6688226 describes an apparatus for manufacturing sleeves for offset printing cylinders. The apparatus, shown in Fig. 2 of the publication of this patent, comprises means for supporting and rotating a tubular core around an axis, and an injection nozzle installed in a mobile carriage that is moved along a rail parallel to the axis of the tubular core. Through the nozzle, multiple layers superimposed radially of a solidifiable fluid polymer are deposited on an outer surface of the tubular core while it is rotating.
OF THE INVENTION In accordance with a first aspect, the present invention provides a high-strength, ultra-light interchangeable sleeve for supporting printing or laminating elements subjected to high working pressures. The jacket is of the type comprising a central tubular core adapted to be coupled on an axis and a stratified structure arranged on an outer surface of said tubular core. Said stratified structure comprises a plurality of layers of one or more components with different densities, superimposed in a radial direction, with a continuous outer layer of high density. The jacket of the present invention is characterized in that said stratified structure comprises a plurality of layers of a high density component superimposed radially and axially separated forming high density ribs, which can be helical or discoidal, a component of low density filling a gap between said high density ribs forming a low density filling, and a plurality of. layers of a high density component superimposed radially forming said continuous outer layer of high density, which is supported on said high density ribs and said low density filling.
Preferably, the jacket of the present invention further comprises a plurality of layers of a high density component superimposed radially forming a continuous inner layer of high density in contact with said outer surface of the tubular core, and on which the ribs are arranged High density and low density padding. It is also preferable that the jacket has high density discoidal enclosure walls formed by multiple layers at the ends of the jacket, and connected with the inner and outer layers of high density. A suitable component for the stratified structure of the shirts of the present invention is a polymer, such as, for example, polyurethane, which can have different densities. A polyurethane suitable for making the inner layer continuous, the continuous outer layer and the high density ribs have, for example, a density between 1.0 g / cm 3 and 1.6 g / cm 3 . The density of the polyurethane for the low density filling can be significantly low, since in some cases the main function of the filling is simply to support the layers of the continuous high density outer layer during the deposition thereof.
As mentioned above, the high density ribs can be of helical or discoidal configuration. If the helical configuration is used, the stratified structure may comprise a single high density rib of helical configuration, two or more high density rib formations of helical configuration, parallel or not, with the same direction of rotation, or two or more High density rib formations of cross-linked helical configuration, with opposite directions of rotation. When two or more high density rib formations of helical configuration are used, either with the same direction of rotation or with opposite directions of rotation, they can all have the same propeller pitch or different propeller passages. Also, optionally each of the helical rib formations can have a variable pitch.
In any case, the high density ribs will be relatively thin compared to the spaces filled with the low density filling between them, so that the weight of the shirt can be very light compared to the prior art shirts while The ribs and walls of high density enclosure support the continuous outer layer of high density substantially preventing the crushing of the low density filling and ensuring the cylindrical condition of the jacket even under high working pressures. In addition, the discoidal enclosure walls prevent contact of the low density filling with the atmospheric agents at the ends of the jacket and prevent the expansion thereof.
In accordance with a second aspect, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing a high-strength ultralight interchangeable sleeve for supporting printing or laminating elements subjected to high working pressures. The method is of the type comprising depositing multiple superimposed layers in a radial direction of a solidifiable fluid component of different densities on an outer surface of a tubular core, while it is rotating, by means of one or more injection nozzles installed in a mobile carriage that is displaced in a rail parallel to the axis of said tubular core. The method of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises depositing layers of a high density component superimposed in a radial direction and separated in an axial direction to form helical ribs or high density discoidal, depositing a low density component in separation spaces between said high density ribs to form a low density filling therein, and depositing layers of a high density component to form a continuous outer layer of high density supported on said high density ribs and on said low density filling.
Preferably, the method further comprises depositing layers of a high density component to form a continuous inner layer of high density on said outer surface of the tubular core before depositing the high density ribs and the low density filling, so that the High density ribs and low density padding are deposited on this continuous high density inner layer. The method also contemplates forming enclosure walls composed of multiple layers of a high density component at the ends of the jacket to avoid exposing the low density filler to atmospheric agents at the ends of the jacket. The method of the present invention can be carried out using any one of several devices well known in the state of the art of the type described in said US-A-6688226. By selecting different combinations of speeds and directions of rotation of the tubular core and speeds and directions of travel of the injection nozzle, different polymer deposition patterns can be obtained. Using simultaneously one or more nozzles for the high density component and one or more nozzles for the low density component it is possible to deposit the high density ribs and the low density filling in the same operation when there are discoidal ribs, or a single rib helical, or several parallel helical ribs with the same direction of rotation. When there are helical ribs with opposite directions of rotation, cross-linked to form a grid, the ribs must first be formed by deposition of the high density component and cured, and then the spaces between the ribs can be filled by the low density component.

Descripción detallada de unos ejemplos de realizaciónDetailed description of some embodiments
Las mencionadas paredes de cerramiento de alta densidad 3d están conectadas a capa interior continua de alta densidad 3a y a Ia capa exterior continua de alta densidad 3c.Referring firstly to the figures in general, the ultra-light, high-strength interchangeable sleeve for supporting printing or laminating elements subjected to high working pressures comprises, according to any one of the examples of embodiment shown, a tubular core 1 central adapted to be coupled on a rotating shaft or support (not shown), and a stratified structure 2 disposed on an outer surface of said tubular core 1. Said stratified structure 2 comprises a continuous inner layer of high density 3a in contact with said outer surface of the tubular core 1, helical or discoidal high density ribs 3b disposed on said continuous high density inner layer 3a, a low density filling 4 also disposed on the continuous high density inner layer 3a filling a gap between said high density ribs 3b, an outer layer conti high density nua 3c supported on said high density ribs 3b and on said low density filler 4, and high density density 3D enclosure walls closing the stratified structure 2 at the ends of the jacket. The aforementioned walls of high density enclosure 3d are connected to a continuous inner layer of high density 3a and to the continuous outer layer of high density 3c.
The continuous high density inner layer 3a, the high density ribs 3b and the high density enclosure walls 3d are made from a plurality of overlapping layers of a high density component, such as a polyurethane with a density between 1.0 g / cm 3 and 1.6 g / cm 3 , deposited on an outer surface of the tubular core 1. This high density component is deposited when it is in a solidifiable fluid state by one or more injection nozzles (not shown) installed in a mobile carriage that is moved in a rail parallel to the axis of said tubular core 1 while tubular core 1 is rotating. In the high density ribs 3b and in the high density enclosure walls 3d, the strata are superimposed radially and axially spaced apart. The helical or discoidal configuration of the high density ribs 3b is obtained by selecting different combinations of speeds and directions of rotation of the tubular core 1 and speeds and directions of travel of the nozzle or injectors nozzles along the length of the tubular core 1.
The low density filling 4 is generally made from a plurality of layers of a low density component, such as a low density polyurethane, deposited when the component is in a solidifiable fluid state in a manner analogous to that described higher. The low density component for the filling 4 can be deposited at the same time as the high density component for the continuous inner layer, the ribs and the high density enclosure walls 3a, 3b, 3d using independent nozzles. The continuous high density outer layer 3c is made from a plurality of superimposed layers of a high density component, such as a polyurethane with a density between 1.0 g / cm 3 and 1.6 g / cm 3 , deposited on outer surfaces of the high density ribs 3b, high density enclosure walls 3d and low density filling 4 using the component in a solidifiable fluid state by a technique analogous to that described above. When the deposition of both high and low density components is finished, they are subjected to a healing process and, finally, the outer surface of the continuous high density outer layer 3c can be ground by a machining process. Alternatively, in some cases, for example when using a configuration of cross-linked high-density ribs forming a grid with multiple cells, the high-density component that forms a continuous inner layer, the ribs and the high enclosure walls can be deposited first. density 3a, 3b, 3d, then this high density component can be cured, then the low density component that forms the filling 4 can be deposited directly inside each cell and the high density component that forms the continuous outer layer High density 3c can be deposited on the ribs and walls of high density enclosure 3b, 3d and the low density filling 4, and finally the curing of the high and low density components not previously cured can proceed. In Figs. 1A and 1B shows a first embodiment of the ultralight interchangeable jacket of the present invention, where the stratified structure 2 includes a single high density rib 3b of helical configuration with a predetermined direction of rotation. This single high density rib 3b is connected to the continuous inner and outer layers of high density 3a, 3c and to the high density enclosure walls 3d. Therefore, the low density filling 4 has the form of a helical block with the same direction of rotation. The high density rib 3b and the low density padding 4 have been illustrated with a constant propeller pitch, although they could alternatively have a variable helix pitch along the length of the sleeve.
In Fig. 2 a second example of embodiment of the ultralight interchangeable jacket of the present invention is shown, where the stratified structure 2 includes two high density rib formations 3b of helical configuration with the same direction of rotation. Both high density ribs 3b are connected to the continuous inner and outer layers of high density 3a, 3c and the high density enclosure walls 3d, and thus the low density filling 4 has the form of two helical blocks with the same direction rotation. It will be understood that this second embodiment can be generalized for any other number of high density ribs 3b greater than two. In Fig. 3 a third example of embodiment of the ultralight interchangeable jacket of the present invention is shown, where the stratified structure 2 includes two high density rib formations 3b of helical configuration with opposite directions of rotation, so that ribs of High density 3b are crosslinked forming a grid that defines multiple approximately rhombic configuration cells. Here, both high density ribs 3b are connected to the continuous inner and outer layers of high density 3a, 3c and the high density enclosure walls 3d, and the low density padding 4 is configured as a plurality of curved blocks of shape approximately rhombic It will be understood that this second embodiment can be generalized for any other number of high density ribs 3b greater than two.
In Fig. 4 a fourth example of embodiment of the ultralight interchangeable jacket of the present invention is shown, where the stratified structure 2 includes a plurality of high density ribs 3b of discoidal configuration, parallel to the walls of high density enclosure 3d located at the ends of the shirt. Said plurality of high density ribs 3b are connected to the continuous inner and outer layers of high density 3a, 3c, and the low density padding 4 is configured as a plurality of annular shaped blocks.
