  • the leg 122 is pivotally coupled to the movable track 22 by a pivot shaft 126 that is fixedly secured to the outer side wall 52.
  • the pivot shaft 126 is located forwardly of the latch mechanism 72 and extends laterally above the memory bar 87.
  • a first end of the leg 122 includes a handle portion 128 and a second or distal end of the leg 122 includes a pin 130 that extends laterally towards the movable track 22.
  • the pin 130 is disposed in the slot 109 in the memory bar 87.
  • the handle portion 128 of the towel bar 120 is released and the spring 106 biases the rearward end 90 of the memory bar 87 upwards such that the memory teeth 102 re-engage the apertures 104 in the fixed track 20, thereby re-coupling the memory bar 87 to the fixed track 20.
  • the leaf spring 82 biases the latch body 74 upwards such that the windows 78 re-engage the latching teeth 80 of the fixed track 20, thereby locking the movable track 22 relative to the fixed track 20.
  • the clockwise pivotal movement of the lever 132 causes the finger 140 to engage the latch body 74 and urge the latch body 74 downwards against the bias of the leaf spring 82.
  • the windows 78 disengage from the latching teeth 80 of the fixed track 20, thereby unlocking the movable track 22 relative to the fixed track 20.

  • the forward end 88' of the memory bar 87' is not supported by the guide bracket 92. Rather, the memory bar 87' includes a secondary slot 148 disposed above the slot 109'.
  • the secondary slot 148 extends between a first end 150 adjacent the forward end 88' of the memory bar 87' and a second end 152 disposed towards the rearward end 90' of the memory bar 87'.
  • the pivot shaft 126' for the towel bar 120' is located forwardly of the latch mechanism 72' and extends laterally through the secondary slot 148 in the memory bar 87'.
  • the pin 130' extending from the distal end of the leg 122' extends laterally towards the movable track 22' and is disposed in the slot 109' in the memory bar 87'.
  • a torsion spring 154 is disposed about the pivot shaft 126' and replaces the spring 106 for biasing the rearward end 90' of the memory bar 87' upwards. More specifically, the torsion spring 154 includes a first arm 156 engaging the leg 122' of the towel bar 120' and a second arm 158 engaging the movable track 22'. The torsion spring 154 biases the distal end of the leg 122' upwards.
  • the upper edge 116' of the recess 114' abuts the second tab 86' on the latch body 74' and urges the latch body 74' downward, against the bias of the leaf spring 82'.
  • the windows 78' disengage from the latching teeth 80' of the fixed track 20', thereby unlocking the movable track 22' relative to the fixed track 20' to allow forward and rearward sliding movement of the movable track 22'. Because the latch body 74' and the rearward end 90' of the memory bar 87' move downward together, the second tab 86' remains in the recess 114'.
  • the latch body 74' re-positions the memory bar 87' every time the seat assembly 12' is adjusted to one of the plurality of seating positions using the towel bar 120'.
  • the leaf spring 82' biases the latch body 74' upwards such that the windows 78' re-engage the latching teeth 80' of the fixed track 20', thereby locking the movable track 22' relative to the fixed track 20'.
  • the second tab 86' enters the elongated portion 113' of the slot 109' and the latch mechanism 72' remains unlocked until the second tab 86' once again reaches the recess 114' at the second end 112'.
  • the second tab 86' engages the upper edge 146' of the slot 109', which prevents the latch body 74' from moving upwardly such that the windows 78' do not re-engage the latching teeth 80' of the fixed track 20'.
  • the second tab 86' travels forward along the elongated portion 113' of the slot 109' until the movable track 22' reaches its foremost position, defining the easy entry position of the seat assembly 12'.
  • the leaf spring 82' biases the latch body 74' upwards such that the windows 78' reengage the latching teeth 80' of the fixed track 20', thereby locking the movable track 22' relative to the fixed track 20'. It is thus recognized that because the memory bar 87' remains stationary during the movement of the seat assembly 12' to the easy entry position, the seat assembly 12' is returned to the previously selected seating position.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble rail de siège comprenant un rail fixe et un rail mobile accouplé de manière coulissante au rail fixe. Un verrou est mis en action entre une position verrouillée verrouillant le rail fixe et le rail mobile et une position déverrouillée permettant un mouvement coulissant du rail mobile. Une barre de mémoire est mise en prise avec le rail fixe pour définir une position initiale du rail mobile. Un levier actionne le verrou pour le mettre sur la position déverrouillée pour permettre un mouvement coulissant du rail mobile entre la position initiale et une position d'accès facile. Une barre horizontale désaccouple de manière sélective la barre de mémoire par rapport au rail fixe et la barre de mémoire actionne le verrou pour le mettre sur la position déverrouillée de sorte que le mouvement coulissant du rail mobile repositionne la barre de mémoire sur une nouvelle position initiale.
