Description

Description POLE FOR MESH FENCE
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a pole for a mesh fence and, more particularly, to a pole capable of connecting and mounting standardized meshes and, in addition, capable of tensioning the meshes or preventing deformation of the pole when front and rear discrete supporters are combined. Background Art
[2] A pole for a mesh fence was disclosed in Korean Patent No. 0,757,883, which includes front and rear discrete supporters and wherein, when front and rear supporters are combined by tightening a bolt while passing at least one elongated twist mesh between the front and rear supporters, pull force is applied to the twist mesh due to deformation of a supporting piece formed on the rear supporter, thus applying a relatively strong tension to the mesh.
[3] As for the pole having such a construction described above, a welded wire mesh and/ or a twist mesh with standard dimensions cannot be employed, instead, only a twist mesh with a length longer than a space between two poles is used. Moreover, in the case where the front and rear supporters are combined, these supporters may be deformed by tightening the bolt until the mesh is pulled by deformation of the supporting part so as to endow sufficient tension to the supporters. As a result, the conventional pole for a mesh fence has disadvantages, for example, inferior appearance, deteriorated strength due to deformation which in turn leads to functional loss of the pole, and so forth. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[4] Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems and other technical difficulties that have yet to be resolved and an object of the present invention is to provide a pole for a mesh fence (hereinafter referred to as "a mesh fence pole") and, more particularly, to a pole capable of connecting and mounting standardized meshes and, in addition, capable of tensioning the meshes and/or preventing deformation of front and rear supporters when these supporters are combined. Consequently, the mesh fence pole of the present invention has merits of more elegant appearance without deformation of the front and rear supporters while accomplishing original functions of the pole. Technical Solution
[5] In order to accomplish the above object of the present invention, there is provided a pole for a standardized twist mesh fence, constructed such that: front and rear discrete supporters are formed; a plurality of hook pieces having hook projections at right and left sides of the hook pieces are connected and fixed to an inner side of either of the supporters so that at least one twist mesh with standard dimensions is semi-forcedly hook-coupled with the hook projection of the hook piece at an end of the mesh; and the front and rear supporters are combined and fixed by a plurality of nuts and bolts or rivets via connection pieces placed at both sides of each of the supporters.
[6] The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Brief Description of Drawings
[7] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a mesh fence pole according to the present invention;
[8] FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a hook piece used in the mesh fence pole according to the present invention;
[9] FIG. 3 is a partially exploded perspective view illustrating a fence installed using a mesh fence pole according to the present invention;
[10] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a fence installed using a mesh fence pole according to the present invention; and
[11] FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating a fence installed using a mesh fence pole according to the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention
[12] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will become more apparent in the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The detailed description of known functions and configurations incorporated herein is omitted when it may make the subject matter of the invention rather unclear.
[13] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a mesh fence pole according to the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, a pole 100 includes a front supporter 120 and a rear supporter 140 which are both separately arranged and have reinforcing thresholds 122 and 142 as well as connection pieces 124 and 144 in a longitudinal direction at both sides of each of the supporters, wherein a supporting plate 160 is jointed and fixed to the bottom end of either of the supporters 140 and a plurality of hook pieces 180 are welded to an inner side of the supporter 140.
[14] A plurality of guide grooves are arranged face-to-face by the same intervals at the right and left connection pieces 124 and 144 of the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 wherein cross wires 220 and 320 of meshes 200 and 300 may pass through the guide grooves and, in addition, a plurality of through-holes for bolt to nut coupling or for riveting are formed out of the guide grooves.
[15] The supporting plate 160 jointed to the bottom end of either of the supporters 140 of the pole 100 serves to fix the pole 100 to the ground, wherein the supporting plate may be arranged and fixed to the supporter 140 using various connection tools or may be welded thereto.
[16] FIG. 2 illustrates a hook piece used in the present invention. Each of multiple hook pieces 180 placed on the supporter 140 of the pole 100 substantially has a rectangular plate form, wherein hook projections 182 and 184 inclined in an inner forward direction are formed on both sides at the front face of the hook piece 180. Moreover, coupling projections 186 and 188 are protruded from both bottom ends of the hook piece in order to be coupled with a reinforcing threshold 122 of the other supporter 120, so that the coupled reinforcing threshold 122 is closely connected and welded to the hook piece via another reinforcing threshold 142 of the supporter 140. Mode for the Invention
[17] FIG. 3 illustrates an installation process of a fence using a mesh fence pole of the present invention. Prior to arrangement of a pole 100 having front and rear discrete supporters 120 and 140, the supporter 140 having a supporting plate 160 and at least one hook piece 180 is vertically fixed on the concrete ground. Then, longitudinal wires 240 and 340 placed at ends of right and left meshes 200 and 300 with standard dimensions are semi-forcedly hook-coupled with hook projections 182 and 184 of the hook piece 180 on the supporter 140. The other supporter 120 is connected to the supporter 140 already fixed on the basic concrete of the ground, followed by connecting and fixing connection pieces 124 and 144 at both sides of the supporters 120 and 130 using nuts and bolts and/or rivets, thus completing installation of the fence.
[18] In this regard, the standardized right and left meshes 200 and 300 are combined with decorative frames 260 and 360 (not shown) at upper and lower portions thereof and the longitudinal wires 240 and 340 placed at the ends of the meshes 200 and 300 are semi- forcedly hook-coupled with the hook projections 182 and 184 of the hook piece 180 on the supporter 140, thereby maintaining a relatively strong tension required for a fence.
[19] The hook projections 182 and 184 of the hook piece 180 hook-coupled with the right and left meshes 200 and 300 are protruded and inclined in the inner front direction, so that the meshes 200 and 300 may be easily and simply hook-coupled with the hook piece 180 and the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 may be correctly combined with each other by the coupling projections 186 and 188 of each hook piece 180 placed on the supporter 140 and the reinforcing threshold 122 placed on the other supporter 120. In addition, if the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 are assembled and fixed after hook-coupling the meshes 200 and 300, cross wires 220 and 320 of the right and left meshes 200 and 300 are coupled in guiding grooves, which are formed face-to-face on both connection pieces 124 and 144 of the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 which in turn closely combine the front and rear supporters together, thereby attaining a sleek and smooth appearance of the supporters. Industrial Applicability
[20] As is apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a pole 100 including front and rear discrete supporters 120 and 140, wherein right and left meshes 200 and 300 are semi-forcedly hook-coupled with right and left hook projections 182 and 184 of each hook piece 180 provided in either of the supporters 140 at ends of the meshes, and then, the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 are combined and fixed by tightening nuts and bolts or rivets via connection pieces 124 and 144. As a result, using the inventive pole 110 to install a fence has various merits in that: common standard meshes 200 and 300 may be used; sufficient tension is applied to the meshes when the right and left meshes 200 and 300 are semi-forcedly hook-coupled so as to endow strong tension to even a twist mesh with bending properties; and, since the front and rear supporters 120 and 140 are simply combined by connecting and fixing the connection pieces 124 and 144 at both ends thereof using nuts and bolts or rivets, the front and rear supporters exhibit no deformation when tension is applied to the meshes or the front and rear supporters are combined, so that the pole may have a smooth and sleek appearance and, in addition, superior strength required for the pole.
[21] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
