Description

FABRIC OR ITEM OF CLOTHING WITH ANTI-SLIPPAGE CHARACTERISTICS ON THE SKIN Technical Field
The present invention relates to an item of clothing with anti-slippage characteristics upon contact, particularly with the skin. Background Art
As is known, items of clothing, such as for example hold-up stockings, pantyhose, socks, knee-highs, men's or women's underwear and the like, manufactured with circular fabric or knitted material, when worn are subject to slipping in contact with the skin of the user, and this causes the unpleasant effect of falling or rising (for example support hosiery, legs of boxer shorts or sleeves of vests whose end part tends to rise during walking) of hosiery along the leg. Disclosure of the Invention The aim of the present invention is to provide an item of clothing that has anti-slippage features once it is in contact with the skin of the user.
Within this aim, an object of the present invention is to provide an item of clothing which, once worn, can remain in position, maintaining the characteristics of elasticity of the fabric of which it is made or even enhancing such characteristics.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an item of clothing which, once in contact with the skin, is prevented from sagging and continues to adhere to the skin in the correct position.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an item of clothing that has anti-slippage features upon contact with the skin of the user and is highly reliable, relatively simple to provide and has competitive costs.
This aim, as well as these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a fabric, an item of clothing with anti- slippage features on the skin or other medium, which comprises a manufactured article made of fabric and/or knitted material, characterized in that it comprises at least one strip or portion made of high-grip polyurethane material, which is applied on the inner surface of said fabric and/or knitted material. Brief Description of the Drawings
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of preferred but not exclusive embodiments of the fabric or item of clothing according to the present invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawing, which is a perspective view of an item of clothing according to the present invention. Ways of carrying out the Invention
With reference to the figure, the item of clothing according to the present invention, generally designated by the reference numeral 1 and generically consisting in a woman's stocking, comprises a portion 2 of fabric that is adapted to come into contact with the skin of the user.
The peculiarity of the invention consists in that at least a portion 3 made of polyurethane material is applied to the inner part of the portion of fabric, i.e., the part designed to come into contact with the user's skin, and is designed to prevent the fabric 2 from slipping on the part on which it rests and/or is superimposed.
The portion 3 can have for example a thickness from 50 to 800 microns.
In particular, the application of polyurethane strips 3 on the fabric 2 or tubular fabric in general prevents the part where it is applied from sliding or slipping on the skin or other supporting material (for example a bag of tubular fabric that is fitted over a polyethylene tube as a filter; this application does not allow the bag to slip and move downwardly).
Therefore, for example in the case of stockings, as shown in the figure, the presence of at least one polyurethane strip allows the stocking to adhere perfectly to the skin or to any other medium on which the stocking may be superimposed, thus preventing the sliding or rising of the stocking and/or pantyhose being worn and in particular preventing its sliding down the leg. The application of a strip of polyurethane 3 on, for example, elastic or nonelastic hems of pantyhose, bands, cuffs, products with fabric in strips and/or with knitted material or tubular fabric, has the peculiarity and the characteristic of making the fabric and/or knitted material adhere to the skin, preventing it from sagging and keeping the product in adhesion in the correct position.
The polyurethane film can be provided in different thicknesses and application can be performed either by means of an adhesive or by performing heat-sealing on the fabric.
In particular, the heat-sealing or adhesive bonding of the high-grip polyurethane film makes possible:
1. to heat-seal it on a single edge of fabric without elastic band (single knitted material) in order to obtain at the same time elasticity of the hem on which it is applied while keeping unchanged, after its return, the width at rest and strong adhesiveness to the part of fabric that will come into contact with the skin or with the medium on which sliding must be avoided, since the two parts continue to adhere firmly to each other.
2. to heat-seal it within a double hem of fabric inside two flaps without elastic band (double cuff), in order to obtain at the same time the heat-sealing of said flaps (in the case of fabric folded to obtain a double cuff) and the elasticity of the hem, keeping unchanged, after its return, the width at rest (in this case, the strip of polyurethane does not come into contact with the skin or other medium, but remains only within the fabric).
3. to heat-seal it over a simple or double hem of fabric which is elasticized or not, in order to obtain elasticity of the hem, keeping unchanged, after its return, the width at rest. The application of the polyurethane strip ensures, in this case, strong adhesiveness to the part of fabric that will come into contact with the skin or with the medium on which slippage must be avoided, since the two parts continue to adhere firmly to each other. 4. to heat-seal it or glue it, in strips or different geometric shapes, over a fabric or knitted material, which perform the function of making the fabric or hosiery item on which it is applied anti-slipping, particularly if such knitted material, fabric or hosiery item is used in contact with the floor covering and it is necessary to contrast its slipperiness on the medium with which it comes into contact (shoes, flooring). If polyurethane forms of greater thickness are further applied, in addition to making the fabric or hosiery item anti-slipping, it is possible to obtain ergonomic and antistress plantars to prevent the formation of corns.
5. to heat-seal it or glue it, in strips or in other forms, on tubular fabric, for example in order to jointly connect the tubular fabric to any medium (for example a filter produced with tubular fabric inserted in a cylindrical shape).
In practice it has been found that the fabric or the item of clothing according to the present invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects, since thanks to the presence of at least one strip or portion of polyurethane, sliding between the inner surface of the item of clothing, on which the strip of polyurethane is applied, and the skin or other supporting fabric with which the fabric or item of clothing according to the invention will come into contact, is prevented. The item of clothing being considered can be an item of underwear, pantyhose, hold-up stockings, socks, knee-highs, and the like.
The item of clothing thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
