Abstract
The invention relates to an air start unit (1) for starting jet engines in aircraft and other flying devices, comprising a compressor (2) for generating compressed air, and an electricity supply device (3) for operating the compressor (2). In order to significantly keep the environmental impact of the air start unit (1) at the respective airport significantly lower than with other known comparable air start units, according to the invention, a fuel cell is used as an electricity supply device (3).
