Abstract
The invention relates to a controller (1) for ventilation devices (8) for adjusting variable pressure-assisted ventilation. The controller (1) is adapted to maintain the variability in the form of variations (ΔVT) of the respiratory intake volume (VT) based on an average value (VTM) and the associated average value (VTM) at predetermined respiratory intake volume values in a predetermined respiratory intake target range (VTO-VTU) while a pressure-assistance value (PASB) is applied to achieve a predetermined respiratory intake target range (VTO-VTU) according to the mechanical properties of the respiratory system (2) and the variability of the respiratory pattern (111, 113, 114, 115, 116). The controller (1) consists of the following elements: an evaluation unit (4), a comparative unit (5), a decision unit (6), and a transmitter unit (7).
