Abstract

The invention relates to an antitheft protection device for an article, comprising: an elongate housing (1) having a first end (3) with an opening (4) for passing the article to be protected therethrough; a device (2) for closing the opening, which can be inserted into the opening along a longitudinal direction I of the housing (1) in order to close said opening in the protection position, said device (2) comprising magnetic locking means including at least one locking member (5) mobile between a position for locking the closing device (2) on the housing (1) and an unlocked position, and at least one metal element (8) mobile, via a magnet along said longitudinal direction I of the housing, between at least a position for blocking the locking member (5) in the locking position and a release position in which the locking member (5) is unlocked.
