Abstract

Improved structure applicable to parabolic-trough solar power collectors, comprising modules (2) supported by troughs (3); with mirrors (4) supported on a torque-transmitting cylinder or beam (5), forming a parabola whose focal point crosses the absorbing tube (6). The supports (9) of the absorbing tube (6) on the collector module (2) or on the troughs (3) are able to slide, and enable the torque-transmitting cylinder or axle (8) to move longitudinally. The distance (d) between the axle (8) and the furthest support device of the mirrors (4) is in the range 3036 mm to 3960 mm; and the focal distance of the parabola defined by the mirrors (4) is between 0.60 d and 0.81 d. The height from the base of the troughs (3) to the rotational axle (8) of the structure, both intermediate and end conductors, is between 1.20 d and 1.56 d.
