Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de suivi automatique d'objets multiples à partir d'une séquence d'images vidéo, ledit procédé permettant d'extraire des données brutes relatives aux éléments participant à un événement sportif ou à un autre événement, d'une manière permettant de ne pas interférer avec les éléments réels participant à l'événement. Les données brutes peuvent comprendre la position et la vitesse des joueurs, des arbitres et du palet, ainsi que l'affiliation des joueurs à une équipe. Ces données peuvent être collectées en temps réel et peuvent prendre en compte les déplacements rapides et imprévus des joueurs, les collisions et obstructions entre eux, ainsi que leurs entrées et sorties relativement au terrain de jeu. La séquence vidéo, capturée au moyen d'un capteur approprié, peut être traitée par un dispositif de calcul d'utilisation générale programmé de manière appropriée.
