Abstract

The present invention relates to a dismantling apparatus (1) used to displace the cutting tool broken within an adaptor (A). Thanks to the inventive dismantling apparatus (1), adaptors (A) which are inactive due to inserts broken therein become usable and the broken cutting inserts (U) can be removed out of the shrink adaptors (A).

Description

DISMANTLING APPARATUS
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a dismantling apparatus used to displace the cutting tool broken within an adaptor.
Background of the Invention
The cutting carbide tools being used nowadays and the cutting inserts located within adaptors are heated to high temperatures with a heating method (shrinking) and during cooling the adaptor and the insert engage to each other by shrink- fitting. When the adaptor is desired to be displaced from the cutting tool connected thereto, it is coupled to the machine and heated, and the cutting insert is manually pulled and removed. However in cases when the cutter is broken, since there is no place left on the cutting insert to pull and remove, the insert remains within the adaptor. Additionally in cases when the cutting insert is broken, the shrink fit engagement of the cutter and the adaptor makes it even more impossible to remove the cutting insert out of the adaptor.
The Japanese patent document No. JP2001170811 discloses removing the cutting insert out of the adaptor. In the said document, the insert is displaced by means of the push bar arranged within the adaptor, without flying off by slipping out with the pressure applied to the shank located thereunder. The insert broken within the adaptor is displaced by being screwed and tightened at the back by means of the mill.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to realize a dismantling apparatus which enables displacement of broken cutting inserts within an adaptor. Another objective of this invention is to realize a dismantling apparatus which enables making usable the inactive shrink adaptors, which include broken cutting tools therein.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The "Dismantling Apparatus" realized to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which,
Figure 1 is the view of the inventive dismantling apparatus.
Figure 2 is the sectional view of the inventive dismantling apparatus.
Figure 3 is the view of the dismantling apparatus on the shrink machine.
The components shown in the figures are numbered individually where the numbers refer to the following:
1. Dismantling apparatus
2. Tray 3. Extension piece
4. Pushing piece
The inventive dismantling apparatus (1) essentially comprises at least one settling tray (2), at least one extension piece (3) arranged on the settling tray (2), at least one pushing piece (4) attached to the end part of the extension piece (3).
The piece named the settling tray (2) is placed at the place where the adaptor (A) is located in the shrink machine (S). According to the size of the shrink adaptor (A)5 the extension piece (3) is arranged on the settling tray (2) and the pushing piece (4) is disposed on the upper portion of the extension piece (3). The extension piece (3) is connected "to the settling tray (2) by being screwed, whereas the pushing piece (4) is coupled to the extension piece (3) via medium fit.
In order to be able to remove the broken insert (U) from the adaptor (A), an extension piece (3) is arranged on the tray (2) and the adaptor (A) is arranged on the pushing piece (4) attached onto the extension piece (3).
After the adaptor (A) is fitted onto the pushing piece (4) and the extension piece (3), the shrink adaptor (A) is heated. Upon heating of the shrink adaptor (A), the adaptor (A) expands and the pushing piece (4) pushes the cutting insert (U) located at the end part of the adaptor (A) thereby allowing it to exit from the end portion of the adaptor (A). Upon heating of the adaptor (A), the section within the adaptor (A) where the insert (U) is broken expands and thereby, the adaptor (A) is allowed to fall down with its own weight, the broken insert (U) is enabled to be pushed by the pushing piece (4) and thus the broken insert (U) is enabled to exit from the adaptor (A).
In the said dismantling apparatus (1), extension pieces (3) are used for shrink adaptors (A) of different sizes. Thanks to the dismantling apparatus (1), shrink adaptors (A) which are inactive due to inserts broken therein can be used again.
Within the scope of this basic concept, it is possible to develop a wide variety of embodiments of the inventive "Dismantling Apparatus (I)". The invention can not be limited to the examples described herein and it is essentially according to the claims.

Claims

1. A dismantling apparatus (1), which enables adaptors (A) that are inactive due to inserts broken therein to be used again and allows removal of the broken inserts (U) out of the adaptor (A); comprising at least one settling tray (2), at least one extension piece (3) arranged on the settling tray (T), at least one pushing piece (4) attached to the end part of the extension piece (3); characterized by an extension piece (3) and a pushing piece (4) which, upon heating of the adaptor (A), enable the broken cutting insert (U) to exit from the adaptor.
2. A dismantling apparatus (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension piece (3) is coupled to the pushing piece (4) via medium fitting.
3. A dismantling apparatus (1) according to claim 1, characterized by a pushing piece (4) which, upon heating of the adaptor (A), enables the broken insert (U) to exit from the adaptor (A) depending on the adaptor's own weight.
