Abstract
The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring fuel consumption in a vehicle on a real-time basis. The apparatus includes: an active injection time calculation module for taking, as an input, an injection valve open signal, and calculating an active injection time; an injection pressure signal unit in which a plurality of injection pressures are preset in accordance with vehicle travel speeds, and which provides signals to the injection valve to inject fuel at the injection pressure corresponding to the vehicle travel speed; an injection volume calculation unit for calculating an injection volume by using the active injection time input from the active injection time calculation module and the injection pressure of the injection pressure signal unit corresponding to the vehicle travel speed input from a speedometer; a fuel efficiency calculation module for calculating fuel efficiency by using the injection volume input from the injection volume calculation unit and the vehicle travel speed input from a speedometer; a display unit for displaying the active injection time calculated by the active injection time calculation module and the fuel efficiency calculated by the fuel efficiency calculation module; and a control unit for controlling the active injection time calculation module, the injection pressure signal unit, the injection volume calculation unit, the fuel efficiency calculation module, and the display unit. The present invention measures and displays a fuel injection pressure in accordance with a travel speed, and enables a driver to select an economical driving style in accordance with travel conditions.
