Abstract
A method, a vibration unit (3) and an application of the vibration unit (3) for registering calls to a mobile telephone (1). The user carries the vibration unit (3) as a pice of jewellery. The vibration unit (3) is activated by a wireless signal (2) transmitted from the mobile telephone (1) when it is being called.
Description
Method, vibration unit and application
The nvention relates to a method for personal registration of telephone calls to a receiver unit where the person does not have physical contact with the receiver unit.
The invention also relates to a vibrator unit, which can vibrate by activation of a wireless signal including a signal, which is emitted from a receiver unit, which has received a call.
The invention furthermore relates to the application of vibrator unit, which can be activated by a wireless signal, where the vibrator unit fully or partially can be a part of a piece of jewellery.
Mobile phones are today as standard provided with an integrated vibration unit, which can be activated by calling the mobile phone, whereby the call can be registered without the surroundings being disturbed by ringtones.
It has however been found that the known technique has some drawbacks since registering calls to a mobile phone with built-in vibration unit requires that the user personally has physical contact to the mobile phone, e.g. by carrying the mobile phone in a pocket.
This has in practice shown to be a problem for especially many women, who prefer to carry the mobile phone in a bag rather that e.g. carrying it in a pocket.
Calls to a mobile phone, which is configured to notify about calls via the built-in vibration unit, will therefore normally not be registered by the user in case the telephone, as in the above example, is carried in a bag or in another way is not in direct contact with the user.
It is therefore an object of the invention to improve the known method, vibration unit and application.
The object of the invention is achieved by a method of the type stated in the introductory portion of claim 1 , which is characterized in that the call is registered by the person through vibrations from a vibration unit, which is activated by a wireless signal from the called receiver unit and where the vibration unit is carried by the person as a piece of jewellery or as part of a piece of jewellery.
In this way it thus becomes possible to receive noiseless calls from a mobile phone without the person, who receives the call, being in physical contact with the mobile phone.
Further appropriate embodiments of the method are stated in claims 2 and 3.
As mentioned the invention also relates to a vibration unit.
This vibration unit is characterized in that the vibration unit fully or partially is part of a piece of jewellery including as attachment to a chain including a necklace or as part of an arm bracelet or a ring including a finger ring or a diadem or a brooch.
Hereby it becomes possible to give known types of jewellery a new functionality such that jewellery not only adorns but also supplies the carrier with information about calls.
Further appropriate embodiments appear from claim 5.
As mentioned, the invention also relates to application of a vibration unit, which is distinctive by being capable of registering calls to a mobile phone, which emits the wireless signal when receiving a call.
The invention will now be explained more fully with reference to the drawing, on which:
Fig. 1 shows a mobile phone, which emits a wireless signal to a vibration unit when calls occur.
Fig. 2 shows a chain such as a necklace with an attachment consisting of a vibration unit.
Fig. 3 shows a bracelet with built-in vibration unit.
Fig. 4 shows a finger ring with built-in vibration unit.
On fig. 1 is with 1 shown a mobile phone, which by calls emit a wireless signal 2.
The wireless signal can e.g. follow the so-called Bluetooth standard, which in present time is becoming increasingly used.
All mobile phones 1 , which are provided with e.g. a so-called Bluetooth interface for sending and receiving data, can with a simple configuration in a user menu be used to emit a wireless signal 2 when the mobile phone 1 is being called.
The wireless signal 2 can as shown on fig. 1 be registered in a vibration unit 2, if the vibration unit 2 is placed in a distance from the mobile phone 1 ,
which is smaller or equal to the width of the wireless signal 2, which will typically be several meters.
The vibration unit 2 can be produced by appropriate connection of known technical elements consisting of:
a) a signal receiver such as a Bluetooth receiver b) a vibrator / vibration unit which can e.g. be of the type, which is typically used in mobile phones and which consist of a small DC motor provided with an asymmetrical weight load on the axis of rotation c) battery or other energy source including solar cells
When assembled from the mentioned components, a vibration unit 2 can be manufactured with a volume of approximately one cm3 and a weight of few grams.
The vibration unit 2 will thus be easy to build in as part of a piece of jewellery.
On fig. 2 is shown an example of how a vibration unit 3 can be part of a piece of jewellery e.g. by being an attachment to a chain 4 e.g. a necklace, bracelet or an ankle bracelet.
Fig. 3 shows an example of how a vibration unit 3 can be built into a bracelet 6, which can be a piece of jewellery produced in e.g. gold or silver.
The in fig. 3 shown example can also be a wrist watch, which is provided with a vibration unit 3.
In fig. 4 is shown an example of how a vibration unit 3 can be integrated in
a ring 7 consisting of e.g. a finger ring.
Vibration units 3 can also e.g. be used as ear pendants such as ear clips, diadems or brooches.
