The object D1 displayed on the display 105 is a photographic image, and the object D2 is a document image. Various other objects can be displayed on the display 105, and object information is stored in an HDD (Hard Disc Drive) 104 of the image display apparatus A described later. Further, a storage medium storing object information can be connected to the image display device A and displayed on the display 105.
The display 105 has a touch panel format, and the display positions of the objects D1, D2, D3, and D4 are changed by touching and moving the objects D1, D2, D3, and D4 displayed on the display 105 by the participants P1 to P4. I can do it. In addition, characters or the like can be displayed on the display 105 by the participants P1 to P4 drawing on the display 105.
The camera 106, the microphone 107, and the speaker 108 are individually installed at the place where each participant P1 to P4 is sitting. Each participant P1 to P4 is photographed by the camera 106, and sounds emitted from each participant P1 to P4 are collected by the microphone 107. The voice collected by the microphone 107 is emitted from the speaker 108 as necessary so that the voice of the participant who made the speech can be heard by other participants.
[Outline of Image Display System] FIG. 2 is a schematic view of an image display system according to the present invention. The image display device A may be used alone when a meeting is held by four participants P1 to P4, but the image display device A (first image display device) is connected to the network N as shown in FIG. It is also possible to connect to another image display device B (second image display device) at a remote location via the network (the image display system in this embodiment is configured by the image display device A and the image display device B). Have been).
The display 205 of the image display device B displays objects D1B, D2B, D3B, and D4B having the same contents as the objects displayed on the display 105 of the image display device A. The sound collected by the microphone 107 of the image display device A is emitted from the speaker 208 of the image display device B. As a result, the persons P5 to P8 in front of the image display apparatus B can know the contents of the meeting performed using the image display apparatus A.
It should be noted that it is also possible for the participants P1 to P4 around the image display apparatus A and the persons P5 to P8 in front of the image display apparatus B to talk with each other through the image display system. In addition, any connection method between the image display device A and the image display device B may be used as long as image and audio information can be transmitted and received between the image display device A and the image display device B.
FIG. 3 is a block diagram of an image display system according to the present invention, showing a typical configuration. The image display device A and the image display device B transmit and receive information via the communication units 109 and 209. Since the typical configurations of the image display device A and the image display device B are the same, the image display device A will be described in detail here.
The image display apparatus A is connected to a PC via the communication unit 109, and can store data transmitted from the PC in the HDD 104 or display it as an object on the display 105.
画像表示装置AにはCPU(Central Processing Unit)101、ROM(Read Only Memory)102、RAM(Random Access Memory)103等が内蔵されている。
The image display apparatus A includes a CPU (Central Processing Unit) 101, a ROM (Read Only Memory) 102, a RAM (Random Access Memory) 103, and the like. The CPU 101 controls the operation of the entire image display apparatus, and is connected to the ROM 102, the RAM 103, and the like. The CPU 101 reads out various programs stored in the ROM 102, develops them in the RAM 103, and controls the operation of each unit. In addition, the CPU 101 executes various processes according to the program expanded in the RAM 103 and stores the processing results in the RAM 103. Then, the processing result stored in the RAM 103 is stored in a predetermined storage destination. In the present embodiment, the CPU 101 cooperates with the ROM 102 and the RAM 103 to configure a correction unit, a detection unit, and a competition processing unit.
The ROM 102 stores programs, data, and the like in advance, and is composed of a semiconductor memory. The RAM 103 forms a work area for temporarily storing data processed by various programs executed by the CPU 101. The HDD 104 has a function of storing object information to be displayed on the display 105. The HDD 104 has a structure in which metal disks coated or vapor-deposited with a magnetic material are stacked, and this is rotated at high speed by a motor to read and write data by bringing the magnetic head closer. The operations of the display 105, the camera 106, the microphone 107, and the speaker 108 are controlled by the CPU 101.
[Correction of Object Display Direction] In the image forming system shown in FIG. 2, an object having the same content as the object displayed on the image display device A is displayed on the image display device B. However, since the image display device A is installed in the horizontal direction, if an object with the same content is displayed as it is on the image display device B, the top and bottom are reversed like the object D2B displayed on the image display device B. May be displayed (see FIG. 2), and it may be difficult for the persons P5 to P8 in front of the image display device B to see the object.
Therefore, when the object displayed on the image display device A is displayed on the image display device B installed in another place, the direction of the displayed object is corrected based on at least information on the installation direction of the image display device B. This will be described below.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing an operation of correcting the display direction of the object in the image display apparatus A and transmitting the corrected object information to the image display apparatus B. Note that the determination steps (steps S 1 and S 2) in FIG. 4 are executed by the CPU 101 in the image display apparatus A cooperating with the ROM 102 and the RAM 103.
First, it is determined whether there is another image display device connected to the image display device A (step S1). If there is an image display device connected to the image display device A, information on the connected image display device such as an IP address can be acquired, and therefore the determination operation of step S1 is executed based on the information.
If it is determined in step S1 that there is another image display device connected to the image display device A, it is determined whether or not the installation direction of the other image display device is horizontal (step S2). The installation direction of the image display device is stored, for example, as attribute information (information regarding the installation direction) of the image display device, and is determined by the image display device A acquiring the attribute information from another image display device. Further, another image display device (image display device B in the present embodiment) may be provided with a sensor for detecting the installation direction, and the determination may be made based on the information related to the installation direction read by the sensor.
If it is determined in step S2 that another image display device is installed in the horizontal direction (step S2; Yes), the image display device A is connected to the image display device in the same installation direction (horizontal direction), and the object display direction is displayed. It is determined that it is not necessary to correct the image, and the object display direction is not corrected, and the object information is transmitted to another image display device (step S3). The other connected image display device displays the received object information on the display, and a person in front of the other image display device can view the object having the same content as the image display device A.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S2 that no other image display device is installed in the horizontal direction (step S2; No), the display direction of the object is corrected with reference to information regarding the installation direction of the other image display device. Then, the corrected object information is transmitted to another image display device (step S4). Another connected image display device displays information of the object whose display direction is corrected on the display. As a result, for example, in the image display device B connected to the image display device A as shown in FIG. 5, the display direction of the object D2B is corrected and displayed on the display 205. If the direction of the displayed object is corrected based on the information on the installation direction of at least another connected image display device in this way, the object can be easily viewed without the top and bottom being reversed.
In the flowchart of FIG. 4, the CPU 101 or the like in the image display device A functions as a correction unit to correct the display direction of the object, but the image display device B that has received the object information from the image display device A The CPU 201 or the like may function as a correction unit to correct the display direction of the object.
In addition to the information on the installation direction of the image display device B, it is also conceivable to correct the object in the optimum display direction based on the information on the locations of the persons P5 to P8 in front of the image display device B. Further, in the image display device B shown in FIG. 5, the objects D3B and D4B are overlapped. However, as shown in FIG.
[Reflection of Object Conflicts] By the way, when the table-type image display device A shown in FIG. 1 is used and the participants P1 to P4 discuss based on the objects displayed on the display 105, the participants P1 to P4 The visibility of the object varies depending on the sitting position. For example, when the participant P1 and the participant P4 discuss based on the object D2 shown in FIG. 1, the participant P1 is easy to see because it is close to the object D2, but the participant P4 is difficult to see because it is far from the object D2.
Therefore, when multiple participants compete with each other, such as when discussing by looking at the same object, the one object is enlarged and displayed so that the participants can easily see the object. (In the present invention, “competition” means that the consciousness of a plurality of participants matches one object when, for example, a plurality of participants see and discuss the same one object). When a conflict between a plurality of participants occurs in the image display device A, the state of the conflict is reflected on the image display device B connected to the image display device A. Hereinafter, this point will be described in detail.
First, an operation for enlarging a competing object when there is a conflict between a plurality of participants in the image display apparatus A will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing an object expansion operation and operations related to the expansion operation. Note that the determination steps (steps S12, S14, and S16) in FIG. 7 are executed when the CPU 101 in the image display apparatus A cooperates with the ROM 102 and the RAM 103. FIG. 8A, FIG. 8B, FIG. 9A, and FIG. 9B are schematic views of the image display device A shown in FIG.
First, the objects (D1 to D4 in FIGS. 8 and 9) are displayed on the display 105 of the image display apparatus A (step S11).
When an object is displayed on the display 105, the participants P1 to P4 discuss based on the object. At this time, whether or not a conflict has occurred in the object displayed on the display 105. Is automatically determined (step S12). While the object is displayed on the display 105, the CPU 101 or the like always automatically detects whether or not a competition by the participant occurs.
There are various methods for detecting the competition. For example, the detection is performed based on the direction indicated by the fingers of the participants P1 to P4, the sound emitted by the participants P1 to P4, the line of sight of the participants P1 to P4, and the like.
When detecting competition based on the direction indicated by the fingers of the participants P1 to P4 and the line of sight of the participants P1 to P4, first, the camera 106 (see FIG. 1) installed in front of each participant P1 to P4 is used. The captured image is analyzed, and the direction of the participant's finger and the line of sight of the participant are specified for each participant. Then, the directions specified for each participant were added together and analyzed, and the direction indicated by the fingers of multiple participants matched one object, or the line of sight of multiple participants matched If so, detect that a conflict has occurred.
In addition, when detecting a conflict by the voices uttered by the participants P1 to P4, first, the words uttered by the participants are specified for each participant based on the voices collected by the microphone 107 (see FIG. 1). A keyword is set for each object displayed on the display 105, and when a word uttered by a plurality of participants matches a keyword in one object, it is detected that a conflict has occurred. In this case, objects and keywords are stored in advance in the ROM 102 as a data table.
If it is determined in step S12 that a competition by the participant has occurred (step S12; Yes), the competing objects are enlarged so that the participant who is discussing can easily see (step S13). This point will be described with reference to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 8A, four objects D1 to D4 are displayed on the display 105. For example, it is assumed that the participant P1 and the participant P4 are discussing by looking at the object D2. In such a state, since it is determined that the competition between the participant P1 and the participant P4 has occurred with respect to the object D2, the object D2 is enlarged at the center of the display 105 as shown in FIG. Is done. By enlarging and displaying the competing object D2 in this way, the contents of the object D2 can be easily seen for the participants P1 and P4 who are discussing by looking at the object D2, and the meeting can be performed smoothly. I can do it. In addition, by automatically detecting object conflicts and executing an object enlargement operation or the like, a special operation is not required by the participant, saving labor.
When the object D2 is enlarged as shown in FIG. 8B, the other objects D1, D3, and D4 displayed on the display 105 are hidden by the enlarged object D2, and cannot be seen by the participants P1 to P4. End up. Therefore, even if the object D2 is enlarged, the other objects D1, D3, and D4 are prevented from being hidden. This operation is shown after step S14 in FIG.
Referring back to FIG. 7, the explanation of the operation is continued. When the enlargement operation of competing objects is completed in step S13, it is determined whether there is an object hidden by the enlarged object D2, and other objects D1, D3, and D4 around the enlarged object D2 are hidden. It is determined whether or not to move to a position that does not exist (step S14). Whether or not to move the hidden object is set, for example, in the initial setting in the image display apparatus A, and it is determined whether or not to move based on the set contents.
If it is determined in step S14 that the objects D1, D3, and D4 are moved to positions that are not hidden, the objects D1, D3, and D4 are moved to positions that are not hidden by the enlarged object D2 (step S15). For example, each object moves in the direction of the arrow in FIG. As a result, even if the object D2 is enlarged, the other objects D1, D3, and D4 are not hidden by the object D2, so that the participants P1 to P4 can continue to discuss by looking at the objects D1, D3, and D4.
In step S16, it is determined whether or not the objects D1, D3, and D4 are reduced to a size that is not hidden by the enlarged object D2. Similar to the determination of whether or not to move the object, whether or not to reduce the object is set, for example, in the initial setting in the image display apparatus A, and it is determined whether or not to reduce based on the set contents. .
If it is determined in step S16 that the objects D1, D3, and D4 are reduced to a size that is not hidden, the objects D1, D3, and D4 are reduced to a size that is not hidden by the enlarged object D2 (step S17). For example, as shown in FIG. 9B, the objects D1, D3, and D4 are reduced. As a result, the object D2 is enlarged and does not move the positions of the objects D1, D3, and D4, and the objects D1, D3, and D4 are not hidden by the object D2, so that the participants P1 to P4 continue to have the objects D1, D3, and D4. Can be discussed.
As described above, the operation of enlarging the competing object has been described when the image display apparatus A has a conflict with a plurality of participants. Next, the object conflict is applied to the image display apparatus B connected to the image display apparatus A. The points to be reflected will be described with reference to FIG.
