Abstract

L'invention concerne un moteur polyphasique et un système de fonctionnement associé, permettant d'obtenir une relation arbitraire du nombre de pôles magnétiques sans commutations mécaniques dans le stator. Le nombre de fentes de ce dernier est donné idéalement par le plus petit multiple commun entre les relations de pôles souhaitées. Le stator est polyphasique, le rotor étant celui d'un moteur à induction ou à hystérésis. Le moteur est destiné à des applications requérant une vaste gamme de fonctionnement avec un rendement maximal et/ou des transitions douce de vitesse/couple (ou de force, selon que le moteur est rotatif ou linéaire). Tel est le cas pour la traction de véhicules électriques. Le système de fonctionnement reçoit des références de commande (1) par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif de commande (2) qui les compare avec des signaux (8) lus par un ou plusieurs capteurs (7). L'action de commande alimente un inverseur polyphasique (3) en vue de la génération des tensions ou des courants alimentant le stator (4). Dans le rotor (5), on mesure les valeurs de vitesse, de couple ou de position (6).
