Abstract

The invention relates to the rapid removal of at least most of a liquid present on an end wall (2) of at least one thermoplastic container (1). For this purpose, a wrung-out spongy mass (4) is brought into contact with the end wall (2) of said at least one container (1) and held in contact with the end wall (2) for a predetermined time so that said spongy mass (4) is impregnated with liquid. Application in particular to the removal of a liquid for cooling the hot end wall (2) of a container (1) leaving a blow moulding or stretch-blow moulding unit.
