Ein Röntgentarget (110) zur Erzeugung einer Röntgenstrahlung (120) durch einen auf das Röntgentarget (110) auftreffenden Elektronenstrahl (130) weist eine Querschnittsfläche (A) senkrecht zum Elektronenstrahl (130) und eine Längsausdehnung (L) parallel zum Elektronenstrahl (130) auf, wobei der Elektronenstrahl (130) auf die Querschnittsfläche (A) richtbar ist und A < L2 gilt.
