Abstract

The invention relates to a UPnP monitoring device (DMC) for a local area network (UN), including: a means (34) for receiving a command (PC) to associate a tag (BK) with a piece of multimedia content (MC) accessible from a remote network server (CS) and referenced by a UPnP content server (DMS) of the local area network; a means (36) for obtaining metadata (MD) related to said piece of multimedia content (MC) from data provided by the UPnP content server; and means (31, 32, 33) for creating said tag (BK) from the obtained metadata (MD).
