Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fuel filter intended for use with internal combustion engines, for example Diesel engines.
  • a filter comprises an external casing equipped with a fuel inlet and fuel outlet and at least one filter cartridge serving to divide the internal volume of the casing into at least two separate compartments, a first compartment connected to the fuel inlet and a second compartment connected to the fuel outlet, such that any impurities in the fuel passing through are retained.
  • the external casing normally comprises a beaker-shaped container and an openable cover which hermetically closes the container thanks to the interposing of at least one sealing element which may be lodged in a relative seating in the container or cover.
