Abstract

Disclosed is a background scanning delay reducing method and system in a wireless communication system. A wireless station transmits a frame that is required for measuring radio quality to a neighboring access point without standing by for a Beacon and a Probe Response frame from the neighboring access point on a channel used by the neighboring access point, and returns to a serving access station.
