Abstract

The cushioned shoe of the present invention includes a midsole, a cushion member, and an outsole. The midsole has a cushion member insertion portion recessed from the top of a heel portion of a lower surface of the midsole, and an air flow channel communicating with the cushion member insertion portion to discharge air to a toe area of an upper surface of the midsole. The cushion member includes a closed bottom portion, a cushion portion extended from an edge of the bottom portion which has a cross-section shaped as an outwardly convex semicircle and formed into a closed curve structure, and an auxiliary cushion portion extended from an upper edge toward an upper inside of the cushion portion and which has an open center. The cushion member is inserted in the cushion member insertion portion such that air filling the interior of the cushion member flows along the air flow channel in accordance with the vertical contraction and restoration of the cushion portion and the auxiliary cushion portion. The bottom portion of the cushion member is positioned at the level of or higher than the extended line of the lower surface of the midsole. The outsole is fixed in simultaneous contact with the lower surface of the midsole and the bottom surface of the cushion member to fix the cushion member. The auxiliary cushion portion has a plurality of cut-out grooves formed radially from the open center towards the outside. Whereby, the cushion member is hardened but increases air flow while being prevented from projecting from the midsole or a shoe sole body. The present invention provides a novel cushioned shoe and a shoe sole which enable elasticity and air-cushioning effects of a cushion member itself to be applied to shoes of a variety of designs.
