Abstract
The present invention is a condensate drain pump for an air conditioner. Conventional drain pumps for draining condensate produced in air conditioners drain large amounts of water in short periods of time, but they generate much noise and their drain pressure is low. To solve these problems, there is provided a drain pump for discharging air conditioner condensate, comprising: a condensate discharge hose extended to a condensate discharge site from a reservoir where condensate is retained and includes two check valves arranged close to each other in the middle of the hose to ensure that the condensate flows only in the discharge direction; a pumping unit further comprising a cylinder having one side in an open state and the other end connected between the two check valves, and a piston entering the open side of the cylinder to perform a reciprocating motion, while maintaining a water-tight seal; and a driving unit further comprising a crank shaft rotated by a low-speed motor, and a connecting rod having one end connected to the crank shaft and the other end connected to the piston to convert the rotational motion of the low-speed motor into the linear reciprocating motion of the piston.
