Abstract

The invention relates to a method for transmitting and receiving a multi-carrier signal, the transmitter carrying out the processing of the sub-carrier input signals by means of a fast algorithm obtained from a synthesis filter bank, wherein each of the filters has been obtained by means of an exponential modulation applied to a prototype filter; parallel/series conversion; and optionally inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT); and the receiver carrying out series/parallel conversion; discrete Fourier transform (DFT); FEQ equalisation; if it hasn't been carried out in the transmitter, inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT); and the processing of the signals by means of a fast algorithm obtained from an analysis filter bank wherein each of the filters has been obtained by means of an exponential modulation applied to a prototype filter.
