Abstract

The present invention relates to a portable terminal unit having at least one switching element for the at least partially wireless transmission of data from and/or to at least one host computer, comprising at least one input unit for data and at least one output unit for data, wherein the portable terminal unit is configured for working with data and/or application software that is  stored not in the portable terminal unit, but in the at least one host computer, and is  processed not in the portable terminal unit, but in the at least one host computer, wherein the data to be output by the application software is available in a display format for being displayed by way of the portable terminal unit.
