Abstract

The present invention provides a non-glasses type of three dimensional image capturing device, and three dimensional image capturing apparatus, which use prisms for capturing three dimensional images that can be viewed without three dimensional glasses. The present invention relates to a three dimensional image capturing device comprising: a prism shaft motor; a first total reflection right-angle prism arranged such that one of its orthogonal surfaces contacts an orthogonal surface of another total reflection right-angle prism, with the oblique surfaces of the two prisms being parallel, and which reflects light falling incident on the prism shaft motor; a second total reflection right-angle prism arranged such that one of its orthogonal surfaces is coupled to the shaft of the motor, in parallel with an objective lens, and such that it rotates together with the motor, and such that the other of its orthogonal surfaces contacts an orthogonal surface of the first total reflection right-angle prism, to which it is coupled, such that the oblique surfaces of the two prisms are parallel, and such that it rotates together with the prism, and which receives light reflected from the first total reflection right-angle prism and re-reflects the light from its own oblique surface to cause the light to fall incident on the objective lens; a connection part connecting the motor detachably to the objective lens; and a housing connecting the motor detachably to a camera main body. The present invention also relates to a three dimensional image capturing apparatus comprising the three dimensional image capturing device.
