Abstract

A display apparatus including means for producing a primary image, means for producing a secondary image, and an inclined partially reflective screen interposed in the optical path of the secondary display in such manner that light from the means for producing the secondary image display and reflected by the screen is superimposed along the optical path for the primary image so as to produce a composite three dimensional virtual display optically located to the optical rear of the primary image as seen by a viewer.
