Abstract

La présente invention concerne les prothèses articulaires aptes à être implantées entre deux os pour restituer une articulation endommagée. La prothèse articulaire selon l'invention comporte deux plateaux (10, 20) comportant chacun une première face (11, 21) apte à coopérer avec une partie osseuse, une seconde face (12, 22) opposée à la première et une face latérale (13, 23) reliant les première et seconde faces, les deux plateaux étant aptes à coopérer entre eux par des moyens de rotation (30) de façon que les secondes faces (12, 22) soient sensiblement en regard l'une de l'autre, chaque plateau (10, 20) comportant en outre deux orifices (141-142; 241-242) débouchant sur sa face latérale (13, 23) et sur sa première face (11, 21), et une portion de paroi rigide (151-152; 251-252) séparant les orifices (141-142; 241-242) et sa seconde face (12, 22) pour constituer une butée, chaque orifice ayant une profondeur, prise selon l'axe longitudinal (301) sensiblement dans le plan du plateau dans lequel il est réalisé, d'une valeur telle que l'orifice comporte un fond (300) pour constituer une autre butée.
