Abstract

본 발명은 무선 통신에서 E-UMTS(Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System)에서, 특히 시스템 서비스 품질을 높이기 위한 단말의 이동성 방법 및 단말의 이동을 위한 전력 소모를 줄이는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 제1 실시 예는 E-UMTS에서 macro 셀 또는 CSG셀을 위한 제 1 기지국에서 서비스를 받고 있는 단말이 CSG셀을 운영하는 제 2기지국으로 접속하게 될 경우, 제 2기지국의 CSG에 대한 접근 가능 여부에 따라, 측정을 수행하는 방법을 제공하며, 특히, 접근 가능한 CSG셀에 대하여 서빙셀의 측정값과 상관없이 측정을 수행하여, CSG셀로 핸드오버를 가능하게 하여, 사용자가 CSG셀에서 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 또한, 본 발명의 제2 실시 예는 일반서비스(예: file download) 또는 긴급서비스(예: emergency call)에 따라 사용자에게 지속적으로 제공 가능한 방법을 제공함과 동시에 전력을 감소하여, 사용자에 대한 서비스 품질을 높이는 방법이다.
