Abstract

Poteau télégraphique pour câble sous-marin, comprenant un corps de poteau, un transformateur, et un boîtier de transformateur. Ledit corps s'élève verticalement, une extrémité inférieure enterrée dans le sous-sol, et il comporte un équipement interne avec câble service connecté à un câble principal enfoui dans le sous-sol, un circuit électrique, une ligne haute tension pour recevoir des tensions élevées depuis le câble de service, et une ligne basse tension pour alimenter en tensions faibles un câble d'abonné à l'électricité également enfoui dans le sous-sol. Le transformateur se trouve sur le sommet du corps de poteau, transformant des hautes tensions fournies par la ligne haute tension en faibles tensions et fournissant ces tensions faibles à la ligne basse tension. Le boîtier du transformateur est une enceinte externe de protection du transformateur. Ledit poteau offre l'avantage de réduire au minimum l'espace occupé par un transformateur et un commutateur durant la construction d'un câble sous-marin, assurant la sécurité humaine contre les câbles haute tension, et offrant des possibilités d'exploitation publicitaire ainsi que d'améliorations esthétiques dans un paysage urbain si l'on souhaite apposer des publicités ou installer des dispositifs lumineux sur le boîtier.
