Abstract

The present invention relates to a ring for use as an accessory for personal ornament i.e., an accessory ring. More specifically, the present invention relates to an accessory ring which enables a user to see information left on the ring readily only when the user desires to see. The accessory ring includes an outer ring (110), an inner ring (120) slidably placed in the outer ring (110) so as to be exposed when the inner ring (110) is slid, an elastic member (130a) between the outer ring (110) and the inner ring (120) for providing a restoring force to the inner ring (110) an interference ring (140) attached to an exposure edge (122) of the inne ring (110) to interfere with one side edge of the outer ring (110), and holding means (150) for making elastic deformation of the elastic member when the inner ring (120) is slid.

Description
ACCESSORY RING
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a ring for use as an accessory for personal ornament i.e., an accessory ring. More specifically, the present invention relates to an accessory ring which enables a user to see information left on the ring readily only when the user desires to see.
Background Art [2] In general, the accessory ring is used as a finger ring or placed on a string for use as a necklace. [3] Such ring type accessories are mostly used as signs for inspiring persons having the same objects or persons of a head with the sense of the same nature, or recollecting a special memory or promise between individuals. In general, such information is carved in an inside circumferential surface of the ring. [4] In the meantime, besides the special information between the individuals, the inside circumferential surface of the ring may have various information carved therein, as well as various patterns carved therein in light of design. [5] An outside circumferential surface of the ring may have various precious stones added thereto for representing a unique and high quality shape or image.
Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem [6] However, fabrication of the accessory ring has been difficult because the accessory ring is required to have the special information between individuals or information on the ring, or the various patterns carved in the inside circumferential surface of the ring. [7] Moreover, if the accessory ring is used as a finger ring, because the user is required to pull out the ring from the finger every time the user desires to see the information carved in the inside circumferential surface of the ring, seeing the information is very cumbersome and has a risk of losing the ring. [8] If the accessory ring is used as a necklace, because the various kinds of information carved in the inside circumferential surface of the ring, private lives of individuals are opened.
Technical Solution [9] To solve the problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an accessory ring which enables to prevent the various kinds of information carved in the ring from opening to others, a user to see the information readily without the risk of losing the ring, and an easy carving of the information. [10] To achieve these objects and other advantages and in accordance with the purpose of the invention, as embodied and broadly described herein, an accessory ring includes an outer ring, an inner ring slidably placed in the outer ring so as to be exposed when the inner ring is slid, an elastic member between the outer ring and the inner ring for providing a restoring force to the inner ring, an interference ring attached to an exposure edge of the inner ring to interfere with one side edge of the outer ring, and holding means for making elastic deformation of the elastic member when the inner ring is slid.
[11] The holding means includes an inward flange on one side edge of the outer ring for holding one side of the elastic member, and an outward flange on the other edge of the inner ring to interfere with the inward flange for holding the other side of the elastic member.
[12] In this case, the elastic member is a compression coil spring wound around an outside circumferential surface of the inner ring, or a plurality of compression coil springs placed in a length direction of the inner ring.
[13] If the elastic member is the plurality of compression coil spring, the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring has steps for preventing the compression coil spring from falling off by holding opposite sides of each of the compression coil springs.
[14] In the meantime, the accessory ring further includes a cover ring attached to the other side of the outer ring for covering the inner ring so as not to expose the inner ring to an outside of the accessory ring.
Advantageous Effects
[15] The accessory ring of the present invention has following advantageous effects.
[16] First, since the various kinds of information are carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring, fabrication of the ring is easy as the information carving is easy.
[17] Second, if the accessory ring is used as a finger ring, the user can see the various kinds of information carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring readily without a risk of losing the finger ring by pulling out the inner ring from the outer ring without pulling out the finger ring from a finger of the user.
[18] Third, because the various kinds of information are covered with the outer ring in ordinary times, opening of the various kinds of information carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring to others can be prevented. Brief Description of the Drawings

[29] Reference will now be made in detail to the specific embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Words and terms used in the specification and claims of the present invention should be interpreted in meanings and concepts meeting technical aspects of the present invention in a principle that the inventor can define the concepts of the words and the terms appropriately for describing the inventor s invention in the best way.
[30] Referring to FIG. 1, the accessory ring 100 of the present invention includes an outer ring 110, an inner ring 120 slidable in the outer ring 110, an elastic member 130a between the outer ring 110 and the inner ring 120 for providing a restoring force to the inner ring 120 slid from a rest position, an interference ring 140 attached to an exposure edge 122 of the inner ring 120 to interfere with one side edge of the outer ring 110, and holding means 150 for making elastic deformation of the elastic member 130a.
[31] The outer ring 110 is a body of the accessory ring 100 is the accessory ring 100 is used as a finger ring (see FIG. 4). The inner ring 120 is placed in and secured to the outer ring 110.
[32] The inner ring 120 in the outer ring 110 is not exposed to an outside of the outer ring
110 in ordinary times, and an outside circumferential surface 121 of the inner ring 120 is exposed to the outside of the outer ring 110 when the inner ring 120 is slid out of the outer ring 110. Therefore, the inner ring 120 is cylindrical so that the inner ring 120 has an exposure section.
[33] On the outer circumference 121 of the inner ring 120, special information between a variety of individuals for inspiring persons having the same objects or persons of a head with the sense of the same nature, or commemoration or recollecting a special memory or promise between individuals. Of course, other than the special information between individuals, the information carved in the outside circumferential surface 121 of the inner ring 120 may be various kinds of information on the ring, or various patterns in view of design. Preferably, though the information may be carved, the way of marking is not limited to the carving. Accordingly, because various kinds of information can be carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring 120, the information carving is convenient.
[34] The information carved on the outside circumferential surface 121 of the inner ring
120 can be seen with naked eyes only when the inner ring 120 is manually pulled out, and exposed to an outside of the outer ring 110.
[35] Referring to FIG. 3, the elastic member 130a is mounted between the outer ring 110 and the inner ring 120. When the inner ring 120 slides to an outside of the outer ring 110, the elastic member 130a deforms elastically to give a restoring force to the inner ring 120 slid thus. Therefore, it is preferable that the elastic member 130a is a compression coil spring wound around the outside circumferential surface 121 of the inner ring 120.
[36] The elastic member 130a can be deformed by the holding means 150, elastically. The holding means 150 includes an inward flange 151 on one side edge of the outer ring 110 for holding one side of the elastic member 130a, and an outward flange 152 on the other edge of the inner ring 120 to interfere with the inward flange 151 for holding the other side of the elastic member 130a.
[37] Accordingly, referring to FIG. 5, if an external force is applied to the inner ring 120 to make the inner ring 120 to slide toward the outside of the outer ring 110, making a distance between the inward flange 151 on the outer ring 110 and the outward flange 152 on the inner ring 120 small, the elastic member 130a is compressed. As shown in FIG. 3, if the external force applied to the inner ring 120 is removed, the inner ring 120 returns to an original position by an elastic force of the elastic member 130a.
[38] In the meantime, the interference ring 140 is attached to the exposure edge 122 of the inner ring 120. The interference ring 140 forms one side of the finger ring when the accessory ring 100 of the present invention is used as the finger ring. The interference ring 140 may be attached by various methods, such as bonding, welding, and so on. The interference ring 140 covers the inner ring 120 such that the inner ring 120 is not exposed to the outside of the accessory ring 100 while the interference ring 140 interferes with one edge of the outer ring 110. The interference ring 140 also serves as a hand grip for the user to pull the inner ring 120 out of the outer ring 110, easily. The interference ring 140 is attached to the exposure edge 122 of the inner ring 120 in a state the inner ring 120 is placed in the outer ring 110, finally. [39] Moreover, it is preferable that a cover ring 160 is provided to the other edge of the outer ring 110. The cover ring 160 is attached to the other edge of the outer ring 110 by a variety of methods, such as bonding, welding, and so on for preventing the inner ring
120 for being exposed to the outside of the outer ring 110. Accordingly, if the accessory ring 100 is used as the finger ring, the cover ring 160 forms the other side of the finger ring.
[40] In the meantime, referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the elastic member 130b may be a plurality of compression coil springs placed in a length direction of the inner ring 120. In this case, the elastic member is mounted such that the elastic member can be elastically deformed by the holding means 150, and the outside circumferential surface
121 of the inner ring 120 has steps 153 formed thereon for holding opposite sides of the compression coil spring for preventing the compression coil spring from falling off.
[41] In the meantime, referring to FIG. 8, the accessory ring 100a of the present invention may be passed through a string of a necklace to use as a medal of a necklace for producing various images. In this case, it is natural that a size or a shape of the ring may be varied with purposes of the necklace.
[42] The accessory ring 100 or 100a of the present invention, used as the finger ring or the medal of a necklace, does not expose the various kinds of information carved in the outside circumferential surface 121 of the inner ring 120 in ordinary times, and exposes the information by pushing an inside circumference of the inner ring 120 to the outside of the outer ring 110, or placing nail or other tool in a gap between the outer ring 110 and the interference ring 140 and pulling the interference ring 140 to the outside of the outer ring 110 to make the inner ring 110 to slide to an outside of the outer ring 110. As a result of this, the user can see the information carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring 110 exposed thus with naked eyes. If the finger moves away from the inner ring 110 exposed to the outside thus, or the pulling force applied to the interference ring 120 is removed, the inner ring 110 returns to an original position by the elastic force of the elastic member.
[43] Eventually, because the user can open and see the information carved in the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring 120 only when the user desires, opening of private life can be prevented. Moreover, because the user does not require pulling out the finger ring from his (her) finger whenever the user desires to see the information, use of the ring is convenient and has no risk of lost.
[44] It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.

Claims
[1] An accessory ring comprising: an outer ring; an inner ring slidably placed in the outer ring so as to be exposed when the inner ring is slid, an elastic member between the outer ring and the inner ring for providing a restoring force to the inner ring; an interference ring attached to an exposure edge of the inner ring to interfere with one side edge of the outer ring; and holding means for making elastic deformation of the elastic member when the inner ring is slid.
[2] The accessory ring as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holding means includes; an inward flange on one side edge of the outer ring for holding one side of the elastic member, and an outward flange on the other edge of the inner ring to interfere with the inward flange for holding the other side of the elastic member.
[3] The accessory ring as claimed in claim 2, wherein the elastic member is a compression coil spring wound around an outside circumferential surface of the inner ring. [4] The accessory ring as claimed in claim 2, wherein the elastic member is a plurality of compression coil springs placed in a length direction of the inner ring, and the outside circumferential surface of the inner ring has steps for preventing the compression coil spring from falling off by holding opposite sides of each of the compression coil springs. [5] The accessory ring as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, further comprising a cover ring attached to the other side of the outer ring for covering the inner ring so as not to expose the inner ring to an outside of the accessory ring.
