Abstract
Disclosed herein is a method of assignment of traffic flows in a transportation network which comprises transportation links apt to allow transportation of traffic flows. Each transportation link is comprised between two nodes and each node either is a simple transportation- link-end or interconnects at least two transportation links. The transportation network is associated with demands of transportation between given couples of nodes and each, given couple of nodes is interconnected by respective routes, each route being a respective sequence of transportation links and being associated with respective route transportation costs. The method comprises : computing for each route a respective transportation demand probability based on the route transportation costs and on the demands of transportations; and assigning to each transportation link a respective traffic flow based on the transportation demand probabilities.
