Abstract

A gearshift unit mounting assembly suitable for both manual and automatic gear shifting mechanism comprising a first base surface (b) configured to be assembled onto floor frame of a vehicle, a second base surface (c) at a height above said first base surface (b), said second base surface (c) configured to house gear shifting components a plurality of ribs configured to withstand all types of reaction forces generated during gear shifting and for supporting said second base surface, console-mountable provisions on top surface of said second base surface and at least three side surfaces of said first base surface.
