Abstract

An appliance (002) comprising a cabinet (511), at least one moveable door panel (121) and at least one respective rear panel (018) being held in a spaced apart relationship defining a storage or other space therebetween, the door panel (121) and rear panel (121) being moveable together and are held apart by means of two spaced apart struts (034, 038) located at a first height on the panels. The rear panel 018 having a series, or an array, of apertures therethrough. The door panel (121) ad the rear panel 018 can have a frame (020) including a pair of substantially parallel L-shaped legs joined at or proximate the top by a cross member (022). A cable management system the appliance (002) is also provided, as is a roller or runner attachment arrangement. The door panel (121) and the rear panel (018) are being movable together, the drawer or carriage (008) including a laterally mounted drawer (014) which is adapted to move laterally of the cabinet. The two doors (121) and (141) which are adjacent to each other can include on an adjacent or opposed side edge (013) a lighting means (131) to provide light onto or into the storage space associated with the drawer (050). A display panel and controls and or a control panel (070). The present invention also provides an appliance (002) having at least one cabinet area (004) and including at least one drawer (008) moving in and out of the cabinet volume and a door (121) associated therewith, the door (121) including on an inboard face thereof an elongated lighting source (040) which extends from an upper region on the inboard face to a lower region thereof.
