Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for slide-blocking a notched metal rod (2) for combining a headrest with the back of a vehicle seat, said device including a sleeve (3) for slidingly receiving said rod and a slider (4) connected to said sleeve and movably mounted so as to be capable of radial translation, the slider including a blocking edge (5) interacting with at least one notch (6) of said rod so as to block the sliding thereof, the edge including a substantially vertical side area (7) and at least one substantially horizontal area (8) for receiving the blocking forces of said rod, said slider being urged in translation towards said sleeve by an elastic return means (9) in order to enable the engagement of the edge with the notch when they are opposite each other, said edge being covered at least on said horizontal area by a reinforcement part (11) associated with the slider, said part being arranged so as to expose at least a portion (12) of said side area so that the rod, once mounted in the device, bears against the exposed portion, the return means (9) being made of the same material as the reinforcement part (11).
