Abstract

The invention relates to a sub-element (8, 9) for a sealing element (7) of a bearing (1) having a bearing ring (2, 3), wherein the sealing element (7) can be fixed to the bearing ring (2, 3). The sub-element comprises a first, substantially radial section (13, 25) and a second, substantially axial section (15, 26). The aim of the invention is to provide a sealing element for a bearing comprising a bearing ring, which sealing element can be easily mounted and requires only little space. The sub-element (8, 9) according to the invention is characterized in that the first section (13, 25) extends over a face (14) of the bearing ring (2, 3) in at least some portions thereof, especially rests on the face (14), and in that the second section (15, 26) can be fixed to an outer surface (10, 11) of the bearing ring (2, 3). The invention further relates to a sealing element (7) and to a bearing (1) comprising a sealing element (7).
