Abstract

The invention relates to an inflatable unit for underwater breathing apparatuses for divers, comprising a diffuser device made at least partially of porous material, wherein the diffuser device has at least one filter element (5), which is closed on the face and is made of a porous sintered plastic material. The porosity of the sintered plastic material is in the range of 80 to 130 micrometers. The filter element (5) is, or the filter elements (5) are attached to the bubble deflector (2), or to the bubble deflectors (2), at an angle (8) ranging from 45 to 60 degrees to the center line (9) of the diving regulator (1) extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the diver. The invention results in a very significant reduction in the exhalation acoustics for open diving equipment.
