Abstract
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device having a narrow BM for slim design of the width of the black matrix formed on the perimeter line of the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention is of the type in which a TFT substrate (110) and a colour filter (120) are joined to form a liquid crystal panel (100), and a back-light unit is provided on the rear surface of the liquid crystal panel (100). In this liquid crystal display device: the outside of the liquid crystal panel (100) is provided with a Vcom line (130) for applying a reference voltage to the liquid crystal panel (100); the Vcom line (130) is connected to the perimeter on at least one or other of the sides of the liquid crystal panel (100) from outside the liquid crystal panel (100), and a short point (135) is formed. This is advantageous in that the width of the black matrix (105) formed following the perimeter line of the liquid crystal panel (100) can be designed so as to be slim, and ultimately in that it provides a narrow bezel and ensures screen continuity and improves text legibility when a plurality of LCDs are combined to create a tiled multi-screen.
