Abstract

A shower apparatus that, with the help of a metered valve or a sensor or other device that will allow only a preset volume of water to pass through the showerhead. The invention is comprised from an intermediary device that connects to a metering valve via two flexible pipes that are mounted on the shower wall with suction cups. As another option, the metering valve can be replaced with a sensor.

Description

Shower Apparatus for Water Efficiency Summary
The invention Ls an easy to use apparatus that allows one that is showering to use only as much water is needed for the shower. Said apparatus uses the existing shower pipe that is built in the wall and existing shøwerhead that the consumer already has. Said apparatus starts with an intermediary device that connects the wall pip with the shøwerhead, while diverting the flow of water thru a flexible pipe to the horizontal metering valve and back to the showerhead f again through a flexible pipe.]
The flexible pipes [SJ are mounted on the wall with suction cups [IJ. A suction cup is also used to mount the horizontal metering valve.
The metering valve will lei — at one activation - to flow a certain amount of water through the showerhead. This will save water in a manner similar to when like technology is applied to a faucet.
Shower Apparatus for Water Efficiency
Description
The invention is designed lo be mounted and ready to use. There is an intermediary device that connects the wall pipe with the shovverhead while redirecting the flow of water to a metering valve via a flexible pipe and returning the water flow from the said metering valve to the said showerhead. Both the metering valve and the flexible pipe are rooυnted on the wall using suction copes. The device is a modification of US patent 2,963,259 to use the valve in a horizontal position. Given this purpose, the incoming flow of water needed to enter the valve through a opening that is perpendicular to the main horizontal axis of the valve. Also, an activation button is used to give the user an ergonomie means to activate the valve.
Finally, an intermediary device connects the wall pipe with the showerhead. The purpose of that device is to redirect the flow of water to the valve via one opening and to accept the incoming ilow of water from the valve to the showerhead.

Claims

Shower Apparatus for Water Efficiency
Claims
A shower apparatus that is designed to use only the water needed during the shower, using a metered valve or a sensor or other device that will allow only a set amount of water to flow to the showerhead, whereby, during a shower, one will press an activation button [or a sensor device] as many times as needed to have a fixed amount of water dispensed to the showerhead. The method is designed to save potable water.
