Abstract

The invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator that comprises a mobile member (6) and coils (4) for moving the mobile in an alternating movement between a first position and a second position of a nominal travel, wherein the mobile member can be moved beyond the second position into an end position, and the electromagnetic actuator includes an elastic return means (11) for returning the mobile member towards the first position, the return means being arranged for acting on the mobile member essentially when the latter is in the vicinity of the end position.
