Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the automatic generation of address book entries in an electronic address book, the method being triggered by a communication event within a telecommunications network, the communication event being sent from a first communication terminal and an identifier of the first communication terminal being detected. The method comprises the following steps: carrying out a basic search using the identifier according to basic information associated with said identifier; creation of a data record for the address book, at least containing the identifier and the basic information that has been determined; and entering the data record in the address book.
