Yet another advantage of the invention is that it is suitable for use when network connectivity is intermittent. Still another advantage of certain embodiment of the invention is that users of mobile electronic devices can perceive their devices as being persistently connected to a network, even though the devices may only occasionally connected to the network (e.g., the Internet). Another advantage is that digital data can be transmitted between mobile electronic devices (e.g., trusted mobile electronic devices) so as to update content on mobile electronic devices using updated content available from other mobile electronic devices. Yet another advantage of the invention is that one mobile electronic device can make use of network availability of another mobile electronic device.

Abstract
L'invention porte sur des procédés améliorés, sur des supports aptes à être lus par ordinateur et sur des systèmes qui facilitent une acquisition de données par des dispositifs électroniques mobiles. Un aspect concerne l'acquisition de contenu entre des dispositifs électroniques mobiles qui se trouvent dans une portée d'un réseau sans fil local. Un autre aspect concerne une acquisition de contenu par des dispositifs électroniques mobiles capables de communiquer à travers un réseau sans fil poste à poste. Toujours selon un autre aspect, à mesure que le profil utilisateur change, des données électroniques distribuées à et/ou présentées sur le dispositif électronique mobile peuvent changer de manière dynamique. En d'autres termes, les données électroniques distribuées à et/ou présentées peuvent être sélectionnées, personnalisées ou ciblées pour des caractéristiques du profil utilisateur dynamique.
