Abstract

The invention relates to a method of constructing a wall arrangement, the method including constructing, in situ, a core of a wall arrangement from a modular wall system comprising a plurality of prefabricated core elements and then spray-applying rendering to vertical faces defined by the core. The core elements include at least one wall panel, and, optionally, posts, etc. Each core element includes a body made of a lightweight material, e.g. expanded polystyrene. The wall panel includes a substantially rectangular body defining two operatively vertically disposed opposite side edges and at least one column member extending at least substantially between operative top and bottom edges of the body in a passage defined in the body. The invention also extends to a wall system including core elements, as referred to, for forming a core of a wall arrangement and to a wall arrangement constructed in accordance with the method.
