Abstract

This patent application describes a card that has a flash memory COB embedded on it where the memory COB can be separated from the card. The card generates the encryption keys while reading and writing the data to and from the embedded memory COB using one of the physical characteristics of a memory chip: the patterns of the bad sectors/blocks created during the production of memory chips. The flash memory COB can be embedded on any type of magnetic card such as credit/debit cards, any financial card, office badges, students' cards, and etc. Going forward, it is also possible to display the data of the memory chip on the card using the electronic ink which can be operated without any other external energy source.
