Abstract

The present invention relates to a method in a computer system for assigning priorities to identification features associated with a location in on map view, wherein the map view may be requested from a first database comprising map data, the method comprising maintaining a second database comprising identification feature data from which at least one identification feature may be selected to be displayed in conjunction with a map view, each identification feature being associated with a location and a priority value, maintaining a log of map views requested from the first database, and setting the priority value for an identification feature in the second database based on the log of map views and a received input representing a selection of a priority value. The present invention is based on the understanding that it is possible to select different identification features stored in a database based on their priority, and that an assigned priority may be based on the likelihood of the feature being selected and displayed as a result of that priority.
